Both Pete Dunne and Buddy Murphy are pivotal members of their respective brands and a tussle between the two could have been effectively presented by The Game.

Considering how much Triple H admires Dunne's work as the NXT United Kingdom Champion, outmatching Murphy on the biggest stage of the year would have cemented Dunne as one of the greatest UK performers in the company's history.

Furthermore, a loss here would have led to Murphy being drafted to the main roster. 'Cruiserweight Vs. The Bruiserweight' would have been enough to sell this bout, with both the performers laying it all to keep the audiences entertained.
