WWE Fastlane 2018: Last minute rumors

WWE Fastlane is hours away and although the card for the last PPV before WrestleMania isn't terribly exciting, there are a couple of surprises that could be on the cards for fans - a few more feuds to kick off as we truly enter the last checkpoints on the road to WrestleMania.

The Undertaker?

One question that just doesn't seem to go away as Fastlane edges closer is whether The Undertaker will play his part during or after the main-event. The rumours of a John Cena vs Undertaker match at WrestleMania, presumably Taker's last bow, haven't died down in recent months and have only gained more steam.

As we stand now, hours away from Fastlane, rumours suggest that there is a chance that Undertaker will show up during the main-event the start off his feud with John Cena. Earlier rumours have already suggested that this feud will mostly take place on SmackDown.

It will be interesting to wait and see if the Deadman does indeed show up on WWE television, his first appearance since his rambling promo at RAW 25.

Dusty finish to the US title match

Bobby Roode will defend his US title against Randy Orton later tonight and let's be honest - this feud has been lukewarm at best. To be fair, how good could a feud based on the SmackDown Top 10 List have been? Jinder Mahal has probably been the best part of this feud as he tried to manipulate Roode and Orton into fighting each other and he isn't even a part of the match.

Even though Jinder isn't a part of the match, there's a big chance that the former WWE Champion could play a part in the match and lead to a dusty finish. This would facilitate a 3-way match between Roode, Mahal and Orton at Mania.

End of a friendship/Beginning of a war

Sami Zayn hit his 'best friend' Kevin Owens with a Helluva Kick to pin him and close SmackDown last week. With it, Zayn has opened an old would that had been covered with the band-aid of friendship, until now.

Owens isn't one for forgiveness, instead having a penchant to biding his time before blindsiding those who've seemingly wronged him.

Expect Zayn and Owens to tear each apart during the 6-pack main-event on Fastlane and this could possibly lead to another Owens vs Zayn match at Mania.

Asuka shows up

Charlotte will face Ruby Riott a Fastlane and conventional wisdom suggests that Charlotte will retain so she can head into WrestleMania with her title around her waist.

Rumours are also suggesting that instead of challenging Alexa Bliss, Asuka will switch brands to challenge Charlotte at WrestleMania for her title instead. With WrestleMania less than a month away there is a chance that Asuka could come out after Charlotte polishes off Ruby Riott to get in her face and officially make her challenge.

Another thing we shouldn't forget is that Carmella is still Miss Money In The Bank and her time to cash in is slowly running out.
