WWE announces Godfather as next Hall Of Fame inductee

Two names are now set to be inducted this year.

All of the disappointment coming out of Fastlane was put to rest as this week’s RAW saw the best opening segment in recent memory with the return of Shane McMahon. Vince Mcmahon announced Shane McMahon vs Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match for WrestleMania 32, something that no one saw coming from a distant mile.

But that wasn’t the only major takeaway from a solid episode of RAW. WWE officially announced the Godfather’s name as the next inductee into the WWE Hall Of Fame class of 2016. Godfather is the second name behind Sting set to receive the honor this year.

While many have questioned the notion behind the move, Godfather’s character was what the Attitude Era was all bout – loud and in your face. From almost quitting WWE due to failed gimmicks, Charles Wright came across the Godfather gimmick and now, would soon be Hall of Famer.

Sting and Godfather are the names that have been announced as of now, and in the coming weeks, more legendary names are set to follow them into the class of 2016. JBL and the Fabulous Freebirds have been rumored to be inducted, but we’ll have to wait and see if it happens.
