Reports suggest that WWE’s class of 2016 Hall of Fame inductees have been leaked to the media. ‘Whatculture.com’ is said to have recieved the news from within WWE. As with any news, it can only be taken as a rumour until confirmed by WWE, yet it is believed that the following names are said to be virtually a lock to be inducted this WrestleMania weekend in Arlington, Texas.
As of now, the only WWE confirmed inductee is Sting, but the following could soon join him:
- JBL
- The Fabulous Freebirds
- Jacqueline (former WWE Diva)
- Charles Wright (Papa Shango/Kama Mustafa/The Godfather/The Goodfather)
- Regis Philbin (Celebrity wing)
It is believed that Charles Wright will be inducted under the ‘Godfather’ gimmick that made him one of the most popular acts of the Attitude Era and Jacqueline is being inducted because she is Dallas-born.
In my opinion, there could be a more ‘deserving’ class but that shouldn’t devalue the achievements of the aforementioned. The Fabulous Freebirds are professional wrestling legends with their feud with the Von Erichs in WCCW , arguably the gold standard in wrestling. JBL has also been a long rumoured inductee. Another possible induction is said to be that of Vader.
