WWE Hell In A Cell 2017: 5 Rumors you need to know

This could be one hell of a show. No pun intended.

This could be one hell of a show. No pun intended.

It's almost time for WWE Hell In A Cell 2017 and honestly, I can't wait any longer for Kevin Owens to take on Shane McMahon. The two upped the ante last week on SmackDown, right after we found out that the match would also be Falls Count Anywhere.

Apart from that, there are 4 title matches on the show, out of which Usos vs New Day will also take place inside the 'Devil's Playground'.

Before we can get to the actual show, let's make a roundabout and head for the rumours for a bit, shall we?

5: Triple H to make his WWE return?

Will Triple H return and aid KO once again?
Will Triple H return and aid KO once again?

We’ll start off with the most ‘out there’ rumor of the lot, which has to do with Triple H returning to WWE television for the first time since WrestleMania and helping Kevin Owens beat Shane McMahon. We all know of the history between HHH and Owens, with Trips helping KO win his first WWE Universal Championship last year.

There were rumours earlier this year about Triple H facing Shane O’ Mac at WrestleMania and this could be a way to facilitate that. After all, Trips does switch between being on the same team as his in-laws and harming them with his own hands.

Could Triple H return and try to take over SmackDown Live along with KO? We’ll see. Don’t bet on it though.

4: Hype Bros to break up?

Another loss on the cards for the Hype Bros?

The Hype Bros haven’t been happy of late. Zack Ryder has been visibly unhappy at their losing streak and matters could come to a head during the Hell In A Cell pre-show as they take on Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin.

Cageside Seats wrote about a potential Hype Bros break up earlier this week and WWE themselves have been teasing tension between the pair. With Benjamin and Gable almost certain to win at Hell In A Cell, we’ll have to keep our eyes on this one.

3: Paige to make her WWE return?

Could Paige finally return?
Could Paige finally return?

According to PWInsider, there’s a chance that former WWE Divas Champion Paige could finally return to WWE at Hell In A Cell. Paige recently got cleared to return to the ring and if she does join the blue brand, Hell In A Cell seems to be the perfect opportunity. The PWInsider report said that the fact that Paige got drafter to RAW in 2016 will not stop her from returning on the blue brand.

If Natalya retains, we could see her face Paige in her next title program on SmackDown. Charlotte vs Paige is a feud we’ve already seen before but ‘The Queen’ has come a long way since that fateful night Paige mentioned her brother Reid in a promo.

2: A late decision on a title change

Another title win for The Usos?
Another title win for The Usos?

Until yesterday, the betting odds clearly favoured no title changes on tonight’s show with Jinder Mahal, New Day, Natalya and AJ Styles all slated to retain. However, a late shift in Paddy Power betting odds suggests that another late decision could have been made within WWE’s hierarchy.

A dramatic shift in the aforementioned betting odds, suggests that the SmackDown Tag-Team Championships could be trading hands with The Usos going over New Day.

There were rumors that the Authors Of Pain could debut on SmackDown Live soon while there were also rumors that they could debut at Hell In A Cell itself. However, if The Usos win, the Authors won’t debut in the title program.

1: Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon rumors

Unhinged Kevin Owens is the best Kevin Owens.

Okay, apart from that opening Triple H rumor, there are another couple of rumors we need to share.

A: There is a big rumor going around that there is going to be one pre-taped segment as part of the match. This could include a fight backstage with could or could not include a big spot.

B: Our sources say that there were a couple of BIG spots they were looking at for the match, but they got deemed to be too dangerous. It will be interesting to see what they finally go with because something BIG will definitely happen.
