Jeff Hardy, earlobe still intact, took control of the match against Randy Orton towards the end and looked on course to get the victory when he placed his opponent on a table inside the ring before climbing a ladder.

Jumping from a tall ladder wasn’t enough for Jeff, though, and he decided to go one further by clinging onto the ceiling of the cell before dropping his 225lbs body onto Orton.

Unfortunately for the former Tag Team champion, he ended up sending himself through the table when Orton moved out of the way and “The Viper” then covered him for the 1-2-3.

WWE is reporting that Jeff has severe abdominal pains following his fall and that he was coughing up blood on his way to a local medical facility.

It’s unclear whether the update from WWE is part of the storyline or reality. Either way, this was definitely one of the most insane spots of 2018 so far.
