There are a number of interesting stats heading into Hell in a Cell

With all the excitement of "Premiere Week," it's easy to forget that the week will be rounded off by Hell in a Cell on Sunday night. So far WWE has only announced three matches for the event with two of those taking place inside Satan's Structure.

Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch will collide for the RAW Women's Championship, whilst Seth Rollins defends his Universal Championship against The Fiend, Bray Wyatt. The only other match is a deeply personal affair that has been on-going since the week before SummerSlam when Erick Rowan attacked Roman Reigns backstage.

Rowan wasn't revealed to have been the attacker until a few weeks ago and has since aligned himself with Luke Harper, which has allowed Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns to strike up an alliance. It will be interesting to see if the ring can contain the four men when they collided in a tag match on Sunday night.

Wrestling is a business that runs on stats and heading into this weekend a number of interesting stats that every fan needs to know.

#5 Sasha Banks is the only woman to step in Hell in a Cell twice

Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair made history back in 2015 when they became the first women to step inside the Hell in a Cell structure. The two women had been part of a bitter rivalry and even the structure wasn't enough to end their fierce feud. Banks walked into the match as the Raw Women's Champion but lost the Championship to Charlotte in a match that lasted more than 20 minutes.

On Sunday night, Banks becomes the first woman to step inside the structure twice, but this time she will be walking in as the challenger and hoping that the second time around she is able to walk out victorious.

#4 Seth Rollins' third and Bray Wyatt's second Hell in a Cell match

Seth Rollins' debut Hell in a Cell match saw him walk into the structure as part of a bitter feud with Dean Ambrose following the split of The Shield back in 2014. The match interestingly ended when Bray Wyatt interfered and attacked Ambrose to help Rollins to pick up the victory.

Rollins later stepped into the steel two years later when he challenged Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship just months after he was screwed over by Triple H. Rollins was unable to lift the Championship on this occasion, which meant that Rollins has never won a match inside the structure without help.

Wyatt, on the other hand, has only been in one Hell in a Cell match and was defeated by Roman Reigns back in 2015, which means that both men have something to prove this weekend. It's been more than three years since either man has been forced to step inside the Hell in a Cell structure, but it's clear that both will go to war for the chance to call themselves the Universal Champion.

#3 Sasha Banks could make history

Sasha Banks could become a five-time Raw Women's Champion at Hell in a Cell

Throughout her career, Sasha Banks has made a lot of history since she was part of the original Diva's Revolution that was started back in 2015, but has ridden the wave into the Women's Evolution and is seen as an integral part of the change that has hit WWE in recent years.

Banks steps inside the Hell in a Cell structure for the second time this weekend as she battles Becky Lynch for the RAW Women's Championship, knowing that a win would make her the first five-time RAW Women's Champion in WWE history.

The RAW Women's Championship only debuted at WrestleMania 32 in a match that saw Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch battle to become the first Champion, but it was Charlotte who was able to come out victorious.

In the three years that have followed Banks has managed to pick up four Women's Championships, all on Monday Night RAW and finally, she has the chance to make history this weekend if she is able to find a way past The Man despite her recent run of form on WWE TV.

#2 10 Years since the first Hell in a Cell pay-per-view

It has been ten years since the first Hell in a Cell pay-per-view
It has been ten years since the first Hell in a Cell pay-per-view

The first-ever Hell in a Cell match took place more than two decades ago between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, but the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view became an annual affair back in 2009 when the company decided to make it their October event.

The first show back in 2009 pitted The Undertaker up against CM Punk inside the structure with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Randy Orton and John Cena also stepped into the steel later in the night as they battled for the WWE Championship. The final match inside the Hell in a Cell structure saw D-Generation X take on Legacy.

It's interesting to note that out of every active performer on the card that night, there isn't a single Superstar that will be reprising their role this year. Out of the 23 stars that were part of the 2009 Hell in a Cell event there are just eight superstars who still work for WWE on a full-time basis. It's incredible to see how much the company has changed in ten years.

#1 The Wyatt Family returns

The original Wyatt Family consisted of just Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, and Luke Harper and whilst the trio hasn't been seen on WWE TV together for a number of years, this weekend all three former members of the family will be wrestling on pay-per-view for the first time since Extreme Rules back in 2018.

All three stars have been plagued by injuries in recent years with Wyatt remaining on the sidelines from August 2018 until his return with The Firefly Funhouse earlier this year. Rowan also suffered an injury back in the summer of 2018 which forced him and Luke Harper to drop the SmackDown Tag Team Championships the week after SummerSlam. Harper was taken off WWE TV at the same time and later went on to request his release from the company.

Interestingly, all three stars have been able to return at the top of their game\ and now Wyatt will step inside Hell in a Cell in a quest to win the Universal Championship for the first time, whilst it's all about bragging rights for Rowan and Harper as they battle Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan in a tag team match.
