What's the story?
A few legends of wrestling took on one another for an independent promotion’s tag match with Jerry Lawler and Terry Funk facing each other.
As reported by Wrestling Inc, the fight was a part of Big Time Wrestling and also featured the Rock ‘N Roll Express, Brian Christopher, and Doug Gilbert.
In case you didn't know...
The match has been touted for a while with Funk having wrestled in a number of circuits. Funk was included into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009 and he won the Tag team title during his stint with the promotion.
Funk also wrestled for ECW, WCW and took part in a number of indie and Japanese promotions during his 50+ year career.
The heart of the matter
Funk returned to the ring at the age of 73, tagging up with the Rock ‘N Roll Express while Lawler tagged with Brian Christopher and Doug Gilbert.
As per the reports from PWInsider, there was a piledriver given to Lawler from Funk.
Funk won the match due to a DQ as Lawler had attacked the referee, which seemed a bit odd since there was a lot going on.
What's next?
It would not be a surprise to see Funk wrestling again for another independent circuit or road show. Lawler too has had his fair share of heart problems during his recent times and with a combined age of 140 between them, the pair has certainly done well to stay in a decent shape.

Funk and Lawler are legends in the business. It is a testament to their love for the business that they have done for decades.
It might not have been the greatest of fights but giving the pair a chance to showcase their talents again would have brought back great memories for a few.
Most of us can’t fathom running about at the age of 70 but Funk is made of something else and hopefully, we all can be as fit as Funk at the age of 73.
