What's the story?

Fresh off a huge victory over EC3 at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, top NXT superstar The Velveteen Dream is now all set for a trip to notable Independent Wrestling promotion EVOLVE Wrestling.

As per officially confirmed by WWE's official website, Dream will be facing off against two of EVOLVE's top superstars upon his debut for the promotion later in the month.

In case you didn't know...

At the recently concluded NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV event, The Velveteen Dream competed in yet another high-profile TakeOver match as he went toe-to-toe with EC3 for the very first time in his career.

Dream, who prior to his TakeOver bout against EC3, also feuded and squared off against the likes of Ricochet, Kassius Ohno and most notably against Aleister Black, in what was WWE NXT's most memorable feud of 2017. And at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, The Dream also received a 5-star rating from The Observer's Dave Meltzer, following the conclusion of the NXT

The heart of the matter

As per announced by both WWE and EVOLVE Wrestling, The Velveteen Dream is now all set to make his presence felt known by competing at the upcoming two EVOLVE Wrestling events.

As noted, The Dream will square-off against top EVOLVE stars Darby Allin and current FIP World Heavyweight Champion upon his EVOLVE excursion and it is for sure that the NXT star will have two outstanding outings upon his Indie homecoming.

What's next?

In the past, several top NXT stars have competed for promotions such as EVOLVE and PROGRESS Wrestling, who are currently under a working relationship with the WWE.

The Dream is now another major name which has been added to the list of superstars who are notable for working under EVOLVE Wrestling.

The Dream's first night in EVOLVE will see him compete on the 7th of September in Joppa, Maryland, which will be followed by another appearance on the 8th of September at Queens, New York.
