What’s the story?

Top Independent wrestlers Big Van Walter and Keith Lee have taken to the social media in order to respond to the recent reports of them being offered WWE contracts.

In case you didn’t know…

Considered as one of the most versatile and agile big-men in Pro Wrestling today, Keith Lee is mostly known for his work with Evolve Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. Lee, who made his debut in 2005, is currently one of the biggest stars in the Indy scene.

Similarly, Big Van Walter is also currently one of the fastest rising stars in Pro Wrestling today. The Austrian native is mostly known for his work with PROGRESS Wrestling and wXw and also for his infamous, brutal chops that he is seen using in most of his matches.

The heart of the matter

As per reports by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both Walter and Keith Lee were apparently offered WWE contracts and a chance to join WWE’s developmental territory, better known as NXT.

However, both Lee and Walter have taken to the social media in order to respond and deny the reports of them being offered a contract by the world’s biggest wrestling promotion.

In a very recent tweet, Keith Lee posted a photo of a Lego dragon and a knight and humorously wrote that in today’s play, the Dragon will be playing the role of “The Rumor Mill”, whereas, Lee will be portraying the character of “The Knight”.

Meanwhile, Walter, on the other hand, was pretty straightforward with his tweet as he totally played down the rumors of him joining WWE, as the current PROGRESS Atlas Champion stated that nobody has offered him anything and the reports of him joining WWE are false.

What’s next?

Keith Lee, who is the current WWN Champion, will soon be in action against Impact Wrestling superstar Moose at the upcoming AAW 14th anniversary show.

On the other hand, Walter will square off against current PROGRESS Champion Travis Banks on the 24th of March at wXw London.

Author's take

Personally, as much as I like both Keith Lee and Watler, I think it's best if both men stay away from the WWE for the time being aa there is no doubt about the fact that both Lee and Watler's in-ring style will definitely be toned down by WWE, which will end up being disappointing.
