– Rusev, the ‘Bulgarian Brute’ is an unstoppable monster in the ring but the former United States Champion has seen his stock fall in the recent weeks. After a lengthy feud with John Cena, Rusev was booked into a feud with Ziggler which ended when Lana and Rusev announced their engagement, breaking kayfabe. Rusev who is currently a member of the League of Nations has been side tracked with no storyline.
Rusev has had a lot of injury problems for some months now. Rusev was injured midway in his feud with Dolph Ziggler when he was struck with an ankle injury against Ryback. Rusev then suffered a bicep injury which put him out for a month.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that Rusev might have been injured with a knee problem before coming to India. Rusev openly denied the fact on social media but was seen wearing a knee brace in both of his matches against Roman Reigns and Ryback in New Delhi. Rusev won against Ryback with an accolade and lost to Roman Reigns who hit him with a superman punch and a spear.
