WWE invites first publicly gay NFL draftee Michael Sam to Raw next week

WWE has officially invited NFL player Michael Sam to next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Sam, who was the first publicly gay player to be drafted to NFL, will be given the opportunity to speak up in front of the live audience and tell his side of the story to the WWE universe.

WWE wrote an open letter to Sam on their official website asking him to appear in Baltimore next week.

Sam is an American football defensive end who currently is a free agent. He was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft with the 249th overall pick.
