Rusev is one of the biggest Superstars to make an impact in WWE but one has to feel that he has been drastically misused.

He has been partnering with Aiden English on SmackDown Live and it feels as if this pairing has now run its course. Rusev should be challenging for a title and it doesn't look as if he will be a contender for any of the titles on SmackDown Live.

It certainly does not make sense that he has not featured in the main event scene on a more regular basis. Rusev is a wonderful athlete and the WWE Universe have taken a liking to the superstar as well as the now famous "Rusev Day" which WWE is not capitalizing on.
If the WWE is keen on keeping Rusev paired with Aiden English, it would be a good idea for the duo to challenge for the SmackDown Live tag team titles. They could also enter into a feud with The New Day or The Usos to build up some momentum before they eventually challenge for the tag-team titles.
An eventual solo run for Rusev is not a bad option either but one has to feel that WWE has not invested enough in building up Rusev's character as a solo performer at this point.
