WWE Live Event Allentown Results 30th October, 2016

The Wyatt Family helped Randy Orton beat Kane

WWE was live from the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania and it was the SmackDown roster that entertained the crowd. The Raw roster was busy competing at their brand-exclusive Pay Per View – Hell In a Cell – which saw history being made as Sasha Banks and Charlotte main evented the PPV and became the first women Superstars to ever compete inside the Cell. Here are the results from the live event in Allentown:

#1 Jack Swagger vs. Tyler Breeze

Jack Swagger has failed to send shockwaves to the WWE Universe following his switch from Raw to SmackDown. Swagger has been feuding with Baron Corbin ever since his switch but at the live event he had a different opponent in Tyler Breeze with different skill sets. However, Swagger overcame the challenge of Breeze and locked him in the Patriot Lock for the win.

Result: Jack Swagger defeats Tyler Breeze via submission

#2 Kalisto vs. Baron Corbin

As already mentioned, Corbin has been seen competing against Jack Swagger in recent weeks but the duo had different opponents this time around. In fact, last week it was Tyler Breeze and Kalisto who were witnessed competing in a live event together following the return of the Luchador, who had been sidelined for a while now.

The Lone Wolf hit The End of Days on Kalisto to pin him for the win.

Result: Baron Corbin defeats Kalisto via pinfall

#3 Curt Hawkins and The Vaudevillains (Simon Gotch & Aiden English) vs. Apollo Crews and The Hype Bros. (Mojo Rowley and Zack Ryder)

The latest member of the Blue Brand – Curt Hawkins – teamed up with The Vaudevillains to take on The Hype Bros and Apollo Crews. The Hype Bros defeated The Ascension last week to cement a spot in SmackDown’s team for the 5 vs 5 traditional Elimination match which will take place at Survivor Series. While Curt Hawkins was seen feuding with Apollo Crews recently and it all boiled down to a good match at the PPL Center in Allentown.

The Hype Bros and Apollo Crews recorded the win over The Vaudevillains and Curt Hawkins via pinfall.

Result: Apollo Crews and The Hype Bros. beat Curt Hawkins and The Vaudevillains via pinfall

#4 Street Fight: Kane vs. Randy Orton

Following last week’s unexpected and rather shocking Heel turn of Randy Orton, wherein he RKO-ed Kane outta nowhere in a match against Bray Wyatt to help The Eater of Worlds take the win, it was time for The Viper to face the wrath of The Big Red Machine. Last week after SmackDown, Orton had dropped a huge hint that he could be joining the Wyatt Family when he said: “When you can’t beat them, join them.”

It looks like WWE are furthering that angle even on house shows as Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt interfered in the Street Fight between Orton and Kane. They distracted the Big Red Machine, which allowed Orton to take advantage and nail the RKO for the win. Following the win, the trio posed together – NEW MEMBER OF THE WYATT FAMILY?

Result: Randy Orton defeats Kane via pinfall

#5 WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. The Miz

Dolph Ziggler has not only managed to revive his career but has turned it around brilliantly to become one of the best title holders in WWE currently. He overcame The Miz at No Mercy to win the IC Championship despite some interference from Miz’s wife Maryse and The Spirit Squad.

Ziggler had challenged Miz to a title fight last week on SmackDown but The Miz refused, however, last night the Intercontinental Championship was on the line but The Showoff managed to fend off the challenge from The Miz. Maryse started the game on the ringside but as has been the case recently she was ejected by the referee – yet again – for trying to interfere.

Result: Dolph Ziggler defeats The Miz to retain his WWE Intercontinental Championship via pinfall

#6 Carmella and Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch and Naomi

The SmackDown Women’s Champion who returned to live TV action last week on the blue brand, following a short spell on the sidelines due to an injury, teamed up with Naomi to record a win over the #1 contender for the Women’s Championship – Alexa Bliiss – and The Princess of Staten Island.

Result: Becky Lynch and Naomi defeat Carmella and Alexa Bliss via submission

#7 SmackDown Tag Team Championship: Heath Slater and Rhyno (c) vs. The Usos vs. The American Alpha

The Beauty and Man Beast are virtually unstoppable at the moment. They Gore down everything that comes in their way and it was no different last night when they beat The Usos and The American Alpha in a triple-threat match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Result: Heath Slater and Rhyno defeat The Usos and The American Alpha to retain their WWE Tag Team titles

#8 WWE World Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Dean Ambrose

Last week James Ellsworth cost Dean Ambrose the title shot against AJ Styles when he hit the “No Chin Music” on Styles resulting in a win for The Phenomenal One via disqualification. However, at the live event Styles and The Lunatic Fringe were competing for the WWE World Championship title.

Styles, who has a knack of stealing wins, used the exposed turnbuckle to his advantage to record the win over Ambrose. Following the match, Ambrose attacked Styles and hit the Dirty Deeds on him to draw curtains on the live event.

Result: AJ Styles defeated Dean Ambrose to retain his WWE World title
