Finn Balor faced Elias in Binghamton

The RAW roster’s final live event before the show’s milestone 25th-anniversary episode took place in Binghamton, New York on Sunday night.

The show featured nine matches, including two each for both Curt Hawkins and Braun Strowman, while Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins teamed up to face The Miztourage in a handicap main event.

In this article, we take a look at the results from the show and see what the fans in attendance made of it all.

#1 Titus O’Neil & Apollo Crews vs. Sheamus & Cesaro vs. The Club

The show kicked off with a Triple Threat tag match between two former Raw Tag Team champions, Sheamus & Cesaro and The Club, and Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews.

As ever with live events, the babyfaces usually get the win, but it was somewhat surprising that Titus Worldwide picked up the victory in this one instead of Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, with Apollo pinning Sheamus.

Result: Titus O’Neil & Apollo Crews def. Sheamus & Cesaro and The Club

#2 Goldust vs. Curt Hawkins

Goldust has been a key part of the Cruiserweight Championship storyline between Enzo Amore and Cedric Alexander recently, but he is not included on the two-night 205 Live tour that is currently taking place.

Instead, he defeated Curt Hawkins in convincing fashion to hand the former Edgehead the first of two losses that he received on Sunday.

Result: Goldust def. Curt Hawkins

#3 Heath Slater & Rhyno vs. The Revival

Heath Slater & Rhyno have been on a losing run on television lately while The Revival have won their last eight televised matches together as a duo.

But, live events being live events, the tables were turned and it was the plucky underdogs Heath & Rhyno who were able to get the victory in Binghamton.

Result: Heath Slater & Rhyno def. The Revival

#4 Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley vs. Mickie James

Next up, Alexa Bliss retained her Raw Women’s Championship in an entertaining Triple Threat match against Bayley and Mickie James.

However, this was less about what happened during the match and more about what happened after it, when Curt Hawkins interrupted Alexa’s celebration on the ramp and made his way down to the ring.

Result: Alexa Bliss def. Bayley and Mickie James

#5 Braun Strowman vs. Curt Hawkins

In a segment posted on WWE’s Twitter account, embedded above, Alexa complained to Braun Strowman – her Mixed Match Challenge partner – that Hawkins interrupted her.

Of course, “The Monster Among Men” never needs a second invitation for a fight and he marched down to the ring and had an impromptu match with Hawkins, which he won with his trademark Running Powerslam.

Result: Braun Strowman def. Curt Hawkins

#6 Braun Strowman vs. Kane

Braun Strowman got on the mic and cut a promo after his victory over Curt Hawkins, saying that anybody in his way “will get these hands”.

That’s when Kane, who will face Braun and Brock Lesnar in a Universal title Triple Threat at the Royal Rumble, interrupted him and the two had another impromptu match.

This one ended quickly with Kane getting disqualified after slamming the steel steps against his opponent, who retaliated by putting “The Big Red Machine” through a table.

Result: Braun Strowman def. Kane (via DQ)

#7 Asuka & Dana Brooke vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville

We’re still no closer to receiving official confirmation from WWE on Paige’s injury status. The former Divas champion was in attendance in Binghamton but only to support Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville from ringside.

Paige’s presence wasn’t enough for Absolution, though, and the unlikely duo of Asuka and Dana Brooke were able to pick up the victory.

Result: Asuka & Dana Brooke def. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville

#8 Finn Balor vs. Elias

Finn Balor and Elias have met plenty of times over the last 6-8 months and the two did battle again on Sunday night in Binghamton.

Elias informed the crowd that they should “Walk With Elias”, but that didn’t prevent them from giving Balor one of the best receptions of the night.

This match was one of the best on the show and resulted in a victory for the leader of Balor Club.

Result: Finn Balor def. Elias

#9 Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns vs. The Miztourage

With Dean Ambrose out of action for the foreseeable future and Jason Jordan missing live events due to an injury, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are having to compete in handicap matches these days.

Sunday’s show saw them take on – and defeat – all three members of The Miztourage, with Rollins using the Curb Stomp (now called the Blackout) on Curtis Axel during the match.

One day before Reigns and The Miz battle over the Intercontinental title at Raw 25, “The Big Dog” combined with Rollins to slam “The A-Lister” down to the mat with a Shield Powerbomb for the finish.

Result: Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns def. The Miztourage
