WWE Live Event Results: Kalamazoo, Michigan (March 3rd, 2018)

Reigns and Strowman were triumphant in their respective matches.
Perennial rivals Reigns and Strowman were triumphant in their respective matches.

The men and women in red stopped over at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo for another house show that had all the top stars in action.

Elias got to share the main event limelight with Roman Reigns in a singles match while Kane returned to in-ring action in a match against Braun Strowman.

An explosive encounter between two indy darlings got the match of the night honors but that's not all as there was even heel turn to top the night off. That and much more went down at the live event in Michigan and here are the results and highlights of the same:

#1 Woken Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt

Two twisted worlds collided in the opener of the evening and while it may have been a slow encounter, to begin with, it gradually picked up the pace and got the fans in attendance invested in the story that was being told.

The fans got behind Hardy and chanted 'delete' in unison as the Woken one picked up a wonderful victory over the Eater of Worlds. Hardy reversed the Sister Abigail to deliver the Twist of Fate for the three-count.

#2 Lince Dorado & Mustafa Ali vs. Jack Gallagher & Ariya Daivari

The cruiserweights took center stage in a tag team match didn't garner much of a reaction from the fans in attendance. The babyfaces got the fans behind them and picked up the win courtesy of a Cara Dorado (Headspring Stunner) on Daivari.

#3 Braun Strowman vs. Kane

The Big Red Machine returned to in-ring action for the first time since his Last Man Standing match against Braun Strowman on the January 29th episode of Raw.

The 3-time World Champion faced the Monster Among Men yet again in a fairly entertaining match. The stairs were brought into use in the at the beginning of the match with both Strowman and Kane getting massive pops.

Strowman managed to kick out of a chokeslam and later catch the Demon with a Running Powerslam for the win.

#4 Heath Slater & Rhyno vs. The Revival

A comedic tag team bout followed the behemothic clash between Kane and Strowman with Ryhno and Slater working the crowd in hilarious fashion.

Ryhno kicked off a 'he's got kids' chant in response to the fans screaming ECW. The babyfaces, however, lost as a result of a small package from The Revival.

#5 Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro (w/Sheamus)

The Architect and the Swiss Cyborg brought the house down with back-and-forth barnburner. Rollins was a huge favorite amongst the fans with 'let's go Rollins' chants echoing around the arena on various occasions.

Rollins needed a superkick, a spinning kick to the head topped it off with a Curb Stomp to see Cesaro through in the match of the night.

#6 Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James and Asuka vs. Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, and Absolution (w/Paige)

All the gorgeous ladies of Raw were put together in a classic babyface vs. heel encounter that witnessed a full-fledged heel turn by Mickie James which was even evident in the most recent episode of Raw. The six-time Women's Champion turned on her teammates and helped Alexa Bliss pin Bayley but the former NXT Champion escaped and tagged in the Empress of Tomorrow. Paige was at ringside while the chaos ensued inside the ring.

Asuka came in, to possibly, the biggest pop of the night, cleared the ring and finished off Mandy Rose with an armbar. Asuka and Sasha Banks got the best reactions here while Bayley received a highly underwhelming one.

#7 Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel

This was more of a filler before the main event that had nothing much apart from a Magic Killer that got the job done for The Club.

Finn Balor was scheduled to appear and work a match at the show but was pulled due to an undisclosed reason.

#8 Roman Reigns vs. Elias

The Drifter was a freaking star even before the main event began. In what was around a 10-minute segment, Elias threatened to leave the ring when the fans refused to walk with him. He stayed and sung a song about the fans in Kalamazoo and the place itself sucks and the fans reciprocated with some paramount heat.

The heat generated enabled Roman Reigns to get quite a solid pop apart from a few 'Roman sucks' whispers here and there. The Big Dog was over and put on a fun main event with Elias.

A failed Drift Away attempt and Reigns capitalized to hit the Superman Punch followed by the Spear for the win.
