WWE Live Event Results: Lima, Peru (November 30, 2017)

AJ Sty
AJ Styles was in the main event for the WWE Live event in Lima, Peru

The SmackDown Live roster made their way to South America this week to entertain the WWE Universe in preparation for Clash Of The Champions in a little over two weeks.

The next pay per view will feature the WWE Champion AJ Styles defending his championship against Jinder Mahal. Based on the actions of Jinder this week on SmackDown Live, it is possible the Singh Brothers will not accompany him to the ring for the match. The Brothers had a face-turning moment at the live event after Styles' title match against Mahal.

At the time of this writing, only the WWE Championship match is official for the pay per view, but you can probably expect WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin will be defending his championship against Bobby Roode. The tag team championship picture could include both The New Day and Benjamin & Gable, trying to take the titles from The Usos.

The November 30th WWE Live event in Lima, Peru featured a total of seven matches and continue on to see the results of this night of great action.

Match #1: Shinsuke Nakamura v. Sami Zayn

Two of the best in-ring performers met in the event's opener in Lima when Shinsuke Nakamura took on Sami Zayn.

We haven't seen much from Nakamura recently on SmackDown Live, but I have a gut feeling that he is going to win the Royal Rumble next month. As for Zayn, he's been in a prominent feud with SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon ever since Sami helped Kevin Owens win the Hell In A Cell match, effectively turning heel.

As you can see in the video above, Zayn would go for a move off the top rope, but Nakamura would duck the attack, apply a facebuster in the center of the ring; which set up the Kinshasa for the victory.

RESULT: SHINSUKE NAKAMURA defeated SAMI ZAYN

Match #2: Hype Bros v. Bludgeon Brothers v. Tye Dillinger & Sin Cara

Even though Mojo Rawley turned his back on Zack Ryder on this week's edition of SmackDown Live, they reformed the Hype Bros. to take on The Bludgeon Brothers and Tye Dillinger & Sin Cara.

To nobody's surprise the dominating Harper and Rowan took care of the other four competitors in this match as they could be on the fast track towards the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships

RESULT: BLUDGEON BROTHERS defeated HYPE BROS AND TYE DILLINGER & SIN CARA

Match #3: Charlotte Flair v. Natalya for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship

The Queen made her entrance in Lima next as the WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair defended her title against the woman she took the title from two weeks ago, in Natalya.

Both Charlotte and Natalya have been dealing with the three new ladies that made their debut on SmackDown Live last week - the Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, and Liv Morgan). The Riott Squad did not make an appearance in Peru, as Charlottte retained her title.

RESULT: CHARLOTTE FLAIR defeated NATALYA TO RETAIN THE WWE SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

Match #4: Rusev v. Randy Orton

The feud between Rusev and Randy Orton continued in Peru as the fourth match of the night saw The Viper take on The Bulgarian Brute.

As of late, Orton has dealt with the authority-defying duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn; while Rusev could soon join the tag division with his "best friend" Aiden English.

The Brute couldn't top the Viper on this night though as he would have to endure yet another RKO, much to the delight of the WWE Universe.

RESULT: RANDY ORTON defeated RUSEV

Match #5: The Usos v. The New Day v. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships

When The New Day defeated Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable on this week's edition of SmackDown Live, it seemed like they were going to join the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship picture, and the next match of the night makes that seem even more likely.

The Usos defended their titles against these two teams in the fifth match of the evening as they welcomed Peru to the Uso Penitentiary. They were able to retain on this night, but they may have to face both tag teams again at Clash Of The Champions in a little more than two weeks.

RESULT: THE USOS defeated THE NEW DAY, BENJAMIN AND GABLE TO RETAIN THE WWE SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

Match #6: Baron Corbin v. Bobby Roode v. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE United States Championship

The second to last match of the even featured the GLORIOUS Bobby Roode taking on two of his greatest rivals since coming to SmackDown Live in Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler.

This match was a triple threat and the WWE United States Championship was up for grabs, with Baron Corbin escaping Peru with his title.

Based on the results of this week's edition of SmackDown Live, it is likely that Roode and Corbin are on a collision course for Clash Of The Champions.

RESULT: BARON CORBIN defeated BOBBY ROODE & DOLPH ZIGGLER TO RETAIN THE WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP

Match #7: AJ Styles v. Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship

The main event of the evening saw the WWE Champion AJ Styles defending the title against the man he defeated for it nearly a month ago, Jinder Mahal.

Tonight wasn't Jinder's night though as AJ Styles would defeat the Modern Day Maharaja. Mahal will get another chance at AJ in a little over two weeks at Clash Of The Champions on December 17th.

RESULT: AJ STYLES defeated JINDER MAHAL TO RETAIN THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP

The Singh Brothers too turned face when they were seen getting along with AJ Styles after the match.

The delight of the WWE Universe in Peru, someone handed AJ the jersey for Peru's national soccer team. As can be seen below, Styles ended up wearing the jersey out of the arena to cap off the show.
