WWE Live Event Results: London, England (November 3, 2017)

Your eyes don't
Your eyes don't deceive you, Triple H joined The Shield in the UK...

With Survivor Series on the horizon, WWE is on a European tour with both Raw and SmackDown Live set to take place in the United Kingdom.

The Raw brand is still reeling from the surprise attack from the SmackDown roster led by Commissioner Shane McMahon. They have yet to retaliate, but could London be the battleground (to use a pay per view title) for Raw to get a little revenge this Tuesday?

A stacked card of nine matches was on the schedule in London, England on November 3rd. Two title matches were on tap for this night and a very special honorary member of The Shield as Roman Reigns continues to recover from his illness.

Courtesy of PWInsider, here are the results from Friday's WWE Live event in London, England.

#1 Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe

Finn Balor is coming off of a spectacular match at WWE Tables Ladders & Chairs where he defeated AJ Styles who was filling in for the ill Bray Wyatt.

Balor took on Samoa Joe in the opening match and Joe just returned from injury this past Monday on Raw. He was out since August with a knee injury.

Rumor has it that Finn Balor could be the next in line to get a title shot at Brock Lesnar, either at Raw's December pay per view (that has yet to be announced) or at the Royal Rumble. That could be the reasoning to put him over Joe now, to build momentum going into that title match.

Result: Finn Balor def. Samoa Joe

#2 Asuka vs. Mickie James

Mickie James is on her biggest roll since returning to the WWE late last year. She's had two chances at Alexa Bliss' WWE Raw Women's Championship but came up short in both matches.

Asuka made the move to the main roster at WWE Tables Ladders & Chairs where she defeated Emma in a solid match. She comes to Monday Night Raw undefeated in NXT, including a 510-day reign with the NXT Women's Championship; which was one of the best title reigns of the past 20 years.

It's going to take someone special on the right night to finally defeat Asuka, and tonight was not that night for Mickie James.

Result: Asuka def. Mickie James

#3 Elias, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Bo Dallas vs. Goldust, Heath Slater, Rhyno, and Jason Jordan

Ever since moving over to Monday Night Raw, we haven't seen much of the former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno, but maybe this WWE Live event match could be a precursor to a feud with Anderson and Gallows.

A couple of interesting wrestlers in this 8-man tag in Bo Dallas (who's in the Miztourage with Curtis Axel) and Goldust (who was previously working as a heel after turning on R-Truth and attacking Finn Balor).

As customary on most of these big tag matches, the good guys get the win to make the crowd happy.

Result: Goldust, Heath Slater, Rhyno and Jason Jordon def. Elias, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Bo Dallas

#4 Enzo Amore vs. Kalisto for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Ever since Enzo Amore joined the Cruiserweight Division, there is a new energy with the group of guys who make up 205 Live. The combination of Enzo having a different style than most of the Cruiserweights and his heel turn have made for some interesting situations lately.

Enzo is not the latest addition to the Cruiserweight Division though. With none of the current roster able to challenge for Enzo's Cruiserweight Championship due to the no-contact clause, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle brought in Kalisto to the division.

Kalisto was able to take the championship from Enzo on the October 9th edition of Monday Night Raw, but Enzo took it back 13 days later at WWE Tables Ladders & Chairs. Kalisto had another shot to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship in London but fell short.

Result: Enzo Amore d. Kalisto to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

#5 Jordan Devlin and Tucker v. Trent Seven and Tyler Bate

The next match was an exciting one for the crowd in London as four members of the tournament to crown the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion faced off in a tag match.

The first time of Jordan Devlin and Tucker didn't fare as well in that tournament as Tucker lost to eventual winner Tyler Bate in the first round; while Jordan Devin made it into the second round of the tournament but also lost to Bate.

Moustache Mountain (Bate & Seven) has seen more success in the WWE than Devlin and Tucker, but there was a mild upset in London.

Result: Jordan Devlin and Tucker def. Trent Seven and Tyler Bate

#6 Kane vs. Braun Strowman

When The Miz was putting together a group of wrestlers to take on the newly re-united Shield, he had an ace up his sleeve when Kane made a surprising return to join his team in the 5-on-3 handicap match at WWE Tables Ladders & Chairs

The match didn't go as planned for the team of five and later in the match, the two monsters would clash resulting in Kane, Sheamus, Cesaro, and Miz stuffing Braun Strowman into the back of a garbage truck.

That brings us to the current feud between Kane and Braun Strowman that is currently playing out on Monday Night Raw, as well as the WWE Live events.

Result: Braun Strowman def. Kane via DQ

#7 Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax v. Bayley and Sasha Banks

The best friends are back together again as Alexa Bliss teams up with Nia Jax who recently returned to the WWE after nursing some injuries. They take on another set of best friends in Bayley and Sasha Banks.

There have been a lot of tag matches in the Women's Division; which has led to speculation that there could be women's tag titles added in the near future. In an event in Paris a couple of months ago, Lita said that it's being discussed.

I think tag titles in the women's division would be phenomenal, but for now, we will just have to enjoy women's tag matches without championships, and in this one, the good girls won.

Result: Bayley and Sasha Banks def. Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax

#8 The Miz vs. Matt Hardy for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

This past Monday on Raw, The Miz was trying to bail on the show early fearing Braun Strowman was back and would get retribution from being stuffed in a garbage truck at WWE Tables Ladders & Chairs. On his way out the door, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle would stop him and forbid him from leaving the show early.

Angle also put The Miz in a WWE Intercontinental Championship match against Matt Hardy. Though the match was highly competitive, Hardy came up short.

He would be awarded another title match on Friday in London, but it is rare that a title changes hands at a house show, and this was no exception.

Result: The Miz def. Matt Hardy to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship

#9 The Shield (w/ Triple H) v. Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, and Sheamus

The Shield's long-awaited reunion is on hold due to an illness that has kept Roman Reigns out of action for upwards of a month. At WWE Tables Ladders & Chairs, the General Manager of Raw, Kurt Angle, called an audible and added himself to the match replacing Reigns for his first WWE match in over 11 years.

Reigns is still recovering from his illness and should return before Survivor Series. For the UK tour, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins needed someone to assist them in their six-man tag match against Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, and Sheamus. To everyone's surprise, Triple H was the one to fill in on the tour.

It'll be interesting if this is only for WWE Live events or if this means that Triple H is on his way back to a television role. To nobody's surprise, the Shield Game earned the victory.

Result: The Shield and Triple H def. Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, and Sheamus
