The recent SmackDown-exclusive live event took place in Saskatoon, Canada. The SmackDown Tag team Championship and the Intercontinental Championship were defended during the show.
The match card featured seven matches, with Dean Ambrose, The Miz and AJ Styles fighting for the Intercontinental belt in the main event. The results have been provided below:
#1 Mojo Rawley vs. Aiden English (with Simon Gotch)
There was not much of a reaction for either of the wrestlers. Nonetheless, they delivered a decent performance with Rawley picking up the pinfall victory.
Result: Mojo Rawley defeated Aiden English
#2 American Alpha(c) vs. Breezango [SmackDown Tag team Championship match]
The current SmackDown Tag team Champions were greeted with huge pops. As the crowd was hyped, the match turned out to be more enjoyable. Breezango were very impressive throughout the contest but the Grand Amplitude helped the American Alpha retain their gold.
Result: American Alpha defeated Breezango to retain the Smackdown Tag team Championship.
#3 Dolph Ziggler vs. Apollo Crews
Despite portraying a negative character, Ziggler received decent pops from the fans in attendance. The match was filled with back-and-forth action. Ziggler attempted to deliver a superkick to Crews but he countered and rolled him up for the three count.
Result: Apollo Crews defeated Dolph Ziggler
#4 Baron Corbin vs. Kalisto
Both Kalisto and Corbin had their fans in the audience. Although the former United States Champion pulled off some offensive manoeuvres, it was all Corbin since the bell rang. He pinned Kalisto following the End of Days.
Result: Baron Corbin defeated Kalisto
#5 Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. The Ascension
Slater was really over with the crowd. In fact, he spotted the ‘Slater's kids’ in the audience. Rhyno pinned Viktor following a Gore and picked up the win for his team.
Result: Heath Slater and Rhyno defeated The Ascension
#6 Alexa Bliss vs. Natalya
Natalya received a babyface reaction as she was wrestling in her home country. There were pops for the former SmackDown Women’s Champion as well. Moments after the match started, Carmella ran down and aided Bliss to beat up Natalya. The returning Tamina made the save and a tag-team match was set up.
#7 Alexa Bliss and Carmella (with James Ellsworth) vs. Natalya and Tamina
The match was decent. Natalya forced Carmella to submit to the Sharpshooter and picked up the win for her team.
Result: Natalya and Tamina defeated Carmella and Alexa Bliss
#8 Dean Ambrose(c) vs. The Miz (with Maryse) vs. AJ Styles [Triple threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship]
The fans in attendance were invested in this match, as the three wrestlers delivered the match of the night. Ambrose retained after pinning The Miz following the Dirty Deeds.
Result: Dean Ambrose defeated The Miz and AJ Styles to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship
