WWE Live Event Results: Toronto (11/03/2017)

Too Sweet indeed

Toronto, Canada held the most recent RAW-exclusive WWE Live event. Alongside three Championship defences, the match card featured a total of seven matches. However, some changes had to be made to the previously announced card.

Brock Lesnar was scheduled to appear at the event but the plans were later changed. The tag team Championship match stipulation was also altered to a fatal-4-way encounter despite being advertised as a triple threat tag match.

In the main event, Finn Balor teamed up with Sami Zayn and the United States Champion Chris Jericho to take on the team of Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens and Triple H.

The results of the show has been provided below:


#1. Sin Cara, The Big Show and The Golden Truth (R-Truth & Goldust) vs. Jinder Mahal, Bo Dallas and The Shining Stars (Primo & Epico)

The fans in attendance noted that it was an entertaining tag team match. Big Show pinned Bo Dallas following the Knockout punch and picked up the win for his team.

Result: The Big Show, Sin Cara and The Golden Truth defeated Jinder Mahal, Bo Dallas and The Shining Stars


#2 Neville(c) vs. Rich Swann [WWE Cruiserweight Championship match]

Neville received a good reaction from the audience. Despite being short, the match was packed with back-and-forth action and it ended when the ‘King of the Cruiserweights’ forcing Swann to submit to the Rings of Saturn.

Result: Neville defeated Rich Swann to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship


#3 Alicia Fox and Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax and Dana Brooke

Banks and Fox were greeted with loud pops. Sasha picked up the win for her team when Dana Brooke tapped out to the Bank Statement.

Result: Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox defeated Dana Brooke and Nia Jax

#4 Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson(c) vs. The New Day vs. Sheamus & Cesaro vs Enzo & Big Cass [Fatal-4-way match for the RAW Tag team Championship]

Xavier Woods and Big E participated in the match for The New Day while Kingston aided them from ringside. The match was fun, courtesy of Enzo and The New Day. In the end, Anderson rolled-up Cesaro to get the three count.

Result: Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows retained the RAW Tag team Championship over Enzo & Big Cass, Cesaro & Sheamus and The New Day

Santino Marella was backstage in Toronto and WWE posted a photo of the former United States Champion along with Enzo Amore:


#5 Bayley(c) vs. Charlotte Flair [RAW Women’s Championship match]

Bayley made her way out to the ring amidst one of the loudest pops of the night. This was not the best match between the two, but enjoyable, to say the least. Bayley pinned Charlotte following the Bayley-to-Belly.

Result: Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair and retained the RAW Women’s Championship


#6 Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns

The loudest mixed reaction of the night went in the favour of Reigns. The fans noted that the match was decent and both the men were quite impressive. Strowman was disqualified after he introduced the steel stair to beat up the former World Champion. However, he missed and ended up receiving a Spear.

Result: Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman via DQ


#7 Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn and Finn Balor vs. Triple H, Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens

The crowd erupted while Finn Balor made his entrance. A similar kind of reaction was seen as Triple H came out to team up with Owens and Joe. The match was certainly one of the best matches of the night. At one point, it was Jericho vs. Owens, then Balor vs. Triple H, potentially hinting at the things to come on RAW. The match ended with Triple H getting pinned.

Result: Finn Balor, Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn defeated Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and Triple H
