WWE Live Event Results: Valencia, Spain (May 6th, 2017)

Randy Orton emerged victorious in Spain

The WWE’s Europe tour rolls on, with both the RAW and SmackDown brands putting on shows for the WWE Universe all over the continent.

The WWE’s blue brand held a live event in Valencia, Spain that was headlined by a WWE Championship match that saw reigning champ Randy Orton defend his strap against Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles. Besides, WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Naomi put her title on the line against Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Carmella and Natalya.

Sin Cara and Breezango teamed up once again to face Aiden English and The Ascension, after which English took on The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner Mojo Rawley in a singles match.

Furthermore, WWE United States champion Kevin Owens took on Sami Zayn, and the Usos defended their SmackDown tag team titles against The Colons and American Alpha.

Elsewhere on the card, Dolph Ziggler took on Shinsuke Nakamura once again, as part of their ongoing rivalry before their meet at WWE Backlash. Besides, former Wyatt Family members Luke Harper and Erick Rowan faced off against one another. Here are the complete results of WWE SmackDown’s (5/6/2017) live event in Valencia, Spain-


#1 Luke Harper vs. Erick Rowan

In a battle of former Wyatt Family members, Luke Harper once again prevailed over Erick Rowan after a back-and-forth matchup

Result: Luke Harper defeated Erick Rowan


#2 Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dolph Ziggler

Shinsuke Nakamura continued his rivalry with Dolph Ziggler, a man he’ll face at the upcoming SmackDown-exclusive PPV, Backlash. Nakamura picked up the win over The Showoff after hitting him with the Kinshasa. This could be how it all goes down at Backlash as it will be Nakamura’s first match and a loss will surely make him look weak.

Result: Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Dolph Ziggler


#3 The Usos vs. The Colons vs. American Alpha (WWE SmackDown tag-team Championship Match)

The Usos took on The Colons and American Alpha once again, and despite a stiff challenge from Chad Gable and Jason Jordan, as well as The Colons, at the event in Valencia, the champions successfully retained their SmackDown tag-team titles.

Result: The Usos defeated The Colons and American Alpha and retained the Smackdown tag team Championships


#4 Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (WWE United States Championship Match)

Former friends-turned-foes faced off in front of the Spanish WWE fans, putting on a match that the reigning champion Kevin Owens would eventually go on to win. KO retained his WWE United States title after scoring the pinfall victory over Zayn.

Result: Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn and retained the WWE United States Championship


#5 Sin Cara, Tyler Breeze and Fandango vs. Aiden English & The Ascension

Sin Cara teamed up with Tyler Breeze and Fandango, to defeat the team of Aiden English and The Ascension. However, English would refuse to leave the ring, demanding another match at the very same event.

Result: Sin Cara, Tyler Breeze and Fandango defeated Aiden English & The Ascension


#6 Mojo Rawley vs. Aiden English

Mojo Rawley answered Aiden English’s open challenge and made short work of the latter, defeating him in their impromptu singles match via pinfall.

Result: Mojo Rawley defeated Aiden English


#7 Naomi vs. Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch vs Carmella vs Natalya (WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match)

The reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi put her title on the line against Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Carmella and Natalya. The Glow Factor would successfully retain her belt after a close matchup with her rivals, after pinning Carmella.

Result: Naomi defeated Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Carmella and Natalya; and retained the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship


#8 Randy Orton vs Jinder Mahal vs. AJ Styles (WWE Championship Match)

The Viper defended his WWE Championship against number-1 contender Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles. After a series of traditional Triple-Threat spots, Orton hit Mahal with an RKO and succeeded in defending his strap.

Result: Randy Orton defeated Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles to retain the WWE Championship
