Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt finally faced each other

WWE came to us live from the JQH Arena in Springfield, Missouri with the SmackDown roster in action, while the Raw roster was seen competing in a live event in Evansville. Here are the results from the Live Event in Springfield:

#1 The Hype Bros defeat The Ascension via pinfall

Mojo Rowley and Zack Ryder kicked off the night with a win over Ascension.

#2 Jason Jordan defeats Aiden English via pinfall

With Jason Jordan being without a partner as his American Alpha teammate Chad Gable is nursing a storyline injury, he was set up for a clash against Aiden English of The Vaudevillains. Jordan got the better of English despite interference from the latter’s tag-team partner Simon Gotch.

#3 Baron Corbin defeats Jack Swagger via pinfall

Following his SmackDown Live debut on last week’s show, Swagger lost his first live event match against after Corbin raked his eyes before rolling him up for the victory – while also grabbing his tights.

#4 SmackDown Tag Team Championship: Rhyno and Heath Slater beat The Usos & Breezango via pinfall

Rhyno and Heath Slater successfully defended their titles for the second time after Rhyno nailed the gore on Breeze and pinned him for the win.

#5 Randy Orton beats Bray Wyatt via pinfall

Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt finally faced each other with The Viper getting the better of The Eater of Worlds. Orton, who received the biggest pop of the night, reversed Wyatt’s attempt to hit Sister Abigail and nailed an RKO Outta Nowhere.

#6 Beck Lynch, Naomi and Nikki Bella beat Carmella, Natalya and Alexa Bliss by submission

The team of SmackDown Women’s Champion won the match against the team of the #1 contender for the title. Lynch locked Natalya in her submission maneuver and the latter tapped out.

#7 Apollo Crews beats The Miz by pinfall

The Miz suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of Apollo Crews after his wife was ejected from the match for interfering and slapping Crews. He took advantage of the situation to roll the WWE Intercontinental Champion for the win.

#8 WWE World Championship: AJ Styles (c) retains his title against Dean Ambrose

In what can be seen as a prelude to the epic Triple-Threat match between Styles, Ambrose and John Cena at No Mercy, The Phenomenal One got the better of The Lunatic Fringe to retain his title after nailing the Styles Clash.

Following the match, ‘The Champ Who Runs The Camp’ tried to hit his BackLash opponent with The Phenomenal Forearm, but Ambrose reversed it into the Dirty Deeds.
