WWE Live Results: Charleston, WV (11/27/17)

Charloeston
Charleston got a great show from the Blue Brand's finest

The Charleston Civic Center got a big dose of SmackDown Live action on November 27th. Although it was Cyber Monday, people still lined up in droves at the merchandise booths to pull down some choice marked-up merchandise at a live event.

They had a great show ahead of them and needed to gear up. Several WWE Superstars brought their A-Game and they performed at a very high level. The one big disappointment for this show was the absence of SmackDown Live's newest female Superstars -- Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan, because they were hyped before the show via video packages but never got to perform.

It was still a great show and a night the fans in Charleston, WV will never forget. At least the ones who showed up won't forget it because the arena was pretty empty in parts. But that didn't stop a great live show consisting of three championship matches from bringing the fury.

Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode kicked off the night. It just goes to show you how much people miss hearing Ziggler's theme music by how hard they boo him once the record comes to a scratching halt and he walks to the ring in silence.

These two put on a pretty good opening contest with Bobby Roode coming out on top.

The Bludgeon Brothers, Colons, and Mike Kanellis vs Breezango, Ascension, and Tye Dillinger

This epic 10-man tag match followed and although it didn't last long, a couple things were very apparent. Breezango are extremely popular and The Bludgeon Brothers are probably going to have a rocket strapped to them very soon.

Harper and Rowan came out without their giant hammers, and the massive men held the match in the palm of their hands. After isolating Tye Dillinger, The Perfect 10 took The Bludgeon Brothers' Crucifix Slam finisher and the heel team got the win.

After the match, Mike Kanellis was celebrating while showing everyone his custom Maria Kanellis airbrushed jacket and took the same finishing move from his partner. It doesn't look like Harper and Rowan like to play nice with anyone.

The Night Continues To Heat Up

The
The place was lit for the US Title match

Baron Corbin vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Sin Cara (US Title Match)

Sin Cara and Baron Corbin have been going at it for a while and it was interesting to see these two go at it in Charleston. But Shinsuke Nakamura's involvement in the match made for some incredibly interesting action as well.

Corbin played the perfect heel by powdering off when things got too heated for him. He would take time just to raise his US Title to rile the crowd up. Corbin has some intense heat and he loves using it.

The finish came after Nakamura hit a Kinshasa on Sin Cara and Corbin ran in to toss the King Of Strong Style out of the ring to steal the pinfall.

Randy Orton vs Rusev

It was Rusev Day in Charleston, West Virginia and Aiden English came out before the Bulgarian Brute to rile up the crowd. He really does a great job bringing heat. People hated him just because he sang in operatic fashion and it seems snooty which is an excellent heel move.

This was a nice back and forth match, but in the end, no matter how much Rusev and English tried to derail The Viper, Randy Orton still came out victorious after an RKO outta nowhere after he slithered out of an Accolade.

After The Intermission

The
The show kept getting better

Charlotte Flair and Naomi vs Carmella, Lana, and Natalya

The women had a chance to kick off the show after intermission in a 2 vs 3 handicap match. It's unclear why WWE kept Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan off this show because plenty of people wanted to see them. But they still got a pretty good contest.

Natalya got the crowd really pumped by telling them not to cheer for the babyfaces or "woo" at Charlotte Flair which is the perfect way to get someone to do the complete opposite.

Naomi took a lot of damage in this match and then Charlotte Flair go the hot tag. Even though Lana actually did a fair amount of wrestling in this contest, she still met the wrath of two Figure 8's (Tamina broke up the first one) and The Ravishing Russain eventually tapped out.

The Usos vs New Day vs Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

This might have been the match of the night for many reasons, one of which is because The Usos and Kevin Owens are incredibly popular but The New Day held the crowd in the palm of their hands.

After a very high energy contest of people chanting "New Day Rocks" and "You deserve better" (directed at Owens and Zayn), The Usos came out on top after one of their signature top rope splashes.

AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal (WWE Championship Match)

It was time for the main event and the crowd was hotter than ever. Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers received a tremendous amount of hatred from the crowd. There were plenty of not-so-politically correct words being shouted at the ring during Mahal's match and he ate it up.

The Singh Brothers tried their best to distract AJ Styles enough to give the Modern Day Maharaja a much-needed distraction. But in the end, The Phenomenal One came out as the winner and sent the crowd home happy.

After the match was over, the WWE Champion hit the Styles Clash on one of the Singh Brothers and sang a portion of John Denver's "Country Roads" to really make sure this West Virginia crowd went home happy.
