WWE Smackdown Live Crew landed in Lisbon, Portugal last night as WWE’s European tour continued. The show in Lisbon featured many top superstars from the blue brand such as the likes of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Becky Lynch, Baron Corbin and more.

The show also featured Triple H, who made a surprise appearance on the night. Two of Smackdown’s top championships were also on the line.


#1 Shinsuke Nakamura vs Kevin Owens

Both Nakamura and Owens have faced each other on numerous occasions throughout this WWE European tour. Nakamura also defeated Owens last week on SmackDown to earn himself a spot on Team SmackDown at Survivor Series.

Last night in Lisbon was no different as “The Artist” once again was able to get the better out of the former Universal Champion, as he went on to defeat Owens later in the night.

Result: Shinsuke Nakamura def. Kevin Owens


#2 The Ascension vs The Colons

The Ascensions have been teaming up with Breezango, as of lately and have been facing off against The Bludgeon Brothers and The Colons as well. However, in Lisbon, Viktor and Konnor got the chance to a fair and square tag team match against the team of Primo and Epico.

Viktor and Konor would make full use of their opportunity and would make a statement by defeating The Colons in Lisbon.

Result: The Ascension def. The Colons

#3 The Usos vs Breezango vs The Bludgeon Brothers (Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships)

Both Jimmy and Jey have had a tough time in retaining their titles throughout this European tour, as they have been defending the belts all over Europe.

Last night in Portugal, The Usos once again put their straps on the line and managed to put up a showcase with two other teams in the form of Breezango and Harper & Rowan.

Jimmy and Jey were able to defeat both the teams on the night and retain their belts once again, as they turn their focus towards their new Survivor Series opponents, Cesaro and Sheamus.

#4 Triple H vs Rusev

Lisbon was in a for a huge surprise last night as 14 time World Champion Triple H decided to step into the ring for a match against former United States Champion Rusev. Triple H has been competing on the current European tour and has been teaming up with The Shield in various house shows, during the past weekend.

However, last night “The Game” was on his own as he went toe-to-toe in a solid match against “The Bulgarian Brute” which was eventually won by Triple H following a Pedigree.

#5 Naomi, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair vs Natalya, Carmella, Tamina and Lana

Much like every house show, Lisbon was no different for the ladies of the blue brand as Naomi, Becky, and Charlotte teamed up once again to face the heel team of the SD Live Women’s division.

The babyface team went over in a solid match and got a great reaction from the crowd as well.

Result: Naomi, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair def. Natalya, Carmella, Tamina, and Lana


#6 Baron Corbin vs Bobby Roode vs Sami Zayn vs Dolph Ziggler- (WWE United States Championship)

“The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin was all set to defend his US Title in a mouthwatering fatal four-way match against three of Smackdown’s top superstars.

As expected, this match by far the best contest of the night as Corbin successfully defended his title against Roode, Zayn, and Ziggler and now will look to turn his focus towards The Miz, whom he faces at Survivor Series.

Result: Baron Corbin def. Bobby Roode, Sami Zayn, and Dolph Ziggler

#7 AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal

AJ Styles is all set to face Jinder Mahal tomorrow night on Smackdown Live for the WWE Championship, but the two men squared off in a non-title match in Lisbon last night.

The match itself was decent but as expected The Singh Brothers made their presence felt as they tried to distract Styles, but “The Phenomenal One” was resilient enough to fend off Samir and Sunil and managed to overcome “The Modern Day Maharaja” by beating him on the night.

Result: AJ Styles def. Jinder Mahal
