With a month to go in Season 2, tonight's episode featured two battles of the undefeated.

With only a month left before the finals of WWE Mixed Match Challenge Season 2, two of the best teams in the tournament face off in Monster Eclipse and Country Strong. Both Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley started off this season with unexpected partner swaps. Originally, Strowman was set to continue his run in MMC with Alexa Bliss, with Lashley teaming up with Sasha Banks. However, injuries to them both would force the two Monday Night Titans to find new teammates.

Luckily, both men found some impressive replacements in the likes of Ember Moon and Mickie James, who have helped lead Strowman and Lashley to undefeated records in the tournament. However, tonight, their paths would cross, and there would only be one undefeated team left standing.

Country Dominance (Mickie James & Bobby Lashley) w/Lio Rush vs Monster Eclipse (Ember Moon & Braun Strowman)

Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley are both on Monday Night Raw's Survivor Series team, but tonight, they were opponents. The two behemoths looked to lock horns and prove once and for all, which was better; The Monster or the Dominator?

Ember Moon and Mickie James began the match, tying each other up in the middle of the ring. The two stars looked to be at a stalemate for quite some time, trading pinfall attempts and counters repeatedly.

James eventually caught Moon with an octopus stretch.

During the match, SmackDown GM Paige told Charlotte that AJ Styles wouldn't be able to compete in the MMC tonight.

Moon fought out, only to crash into James with both women hitting clotheslines. After getting back to their feet, they tagged in their partners.

Strowman and Lashley attempted to overpower each other. Though Strowman had the strength advantage, Lashley was able to outmanoeuvre the big man, but not for long. Eventually, a big boog from Strowman sent the former ECW Champion to the mat.

Lio Rush distracted Strowman, allowing Lashley to send him into the corner with a clothesline. However, he countered Lashley's stalling suplex, then ordered Moon to go after Rush.

Moon was taken out by James, who tagged herself in to give Lashley a breather. Strowman chased Lio Rush around the ring, running through Bobby Lashley in the process. Meanwhile, after Moon caught James with a superkick, the Shenom put her opponent down with an Eclipse.

Results: Monster Eclipse defeated Country Strong.

With their victory tonight, Monster Eclipse found themselves at the top of Monday Night Raw's side of the Mixed Match Challenge.

Next week, Bobby Roode and Natalya will face Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox. Team Pawz and Mahalicia are both 0-3 at this point, but both teams have a chance to pick up their first win next week.

The Miz and Asuka looked to continue their undefeated streak by pouncing on the wounded Fenomenal Flair
The Miz and Asuka looked to continue their undefeated streak by pouncing on the wounded Fenomenal Flair

The Miz and Asuka are not only undefeated in this season of the Mixed Match Challenge. Team Awe-Ska hasn't lost one match in either season of the show and looked to continue their string of dominance tonight.

It seemed that the A-Lister and the Empress had a bit of an easy fight tonight, as AJ Styles would not be able to compete in the matchup. Though Charlotte found quite a suitable partner, the chemistry that Charlotte and Styles built up could not possibly be shared between the Queen and her mystery partner tonight...or could it?

Fenomenal Flair (Charlotte and ???) vs Awe-Ska (Asuka and The Miz)

Charlotte emerged first, followed by her emergency partner, Jeff Hardy. The Charismatic Enigma looked to assist both Charlotte and AJ Styles tonight, keeping their undefeated record intact.

Hardy and The Miz began the bout. The Miz taunted Hardy with "Delete" chants, but the former United States Champion quickly took over, driving his opponent's face into the turnbuckles repeatedly.

The Miz escaped back to his corner, where he tagged in Asuka. Charlotte was the one to end Asuka's undefeated streak back at WrestleMania 34, so the Empress had a lot to gain with a victory over Charlotte tonight.

The former NXT Women's Champions traded holds at the beginning, but quickly picked up the pace, dodging each other's attacks, leading to another stalemate.

Asuka sent Charlotte into the corner, but the Queen rolled up the turnbuckle, catching Asuka with a shoulder block. A frustrated Miz ran at Charlotte but was caught by a big boot, which gave Asuka enough time to knock her opponent off the apron.

Asuka dragged Charlotte back inside and locked her in an octopus stretch, working over her rival before turning it into a pinning attempt. Charlotte kicked out at two, then repeatedly chopped Asuka.

Charlotte nearly pinned Asuka again, but the Empress kicked out. However, she was sent back into her corner with a big boot, allowing Hardy to be tagged in.

Jeff Hardy caught The Miz with a good bit of his patented offense, including a Whisper in the Wind. The Miz managed to kick out, then fight out of the corner. Hardy attempted a Twist of Fate, but The A-Lister countered it into a Skull Crushing Finale, which Hardy then turned into a pin. The Miz broke out, planting Hardy with a DDT.

The Miz tried to take a recovering Hardy back to the ground with a clothesline and almost caught Asuka instead. Asuka then hit Hardy with a spinning elbow when he tried to pin her partner.

After Asuka tagged in, Hardy and Charlotte were both kneeling in the middle of the ring, allowing Asuka and The Miz to hit them both with the It Kicks.

Somehow, though, The Miz missed the final kick, being sent outside after a Twist of Fate. Charlotte then speared Asuka before forcing her to submit to the Figure-8 Leglock, giving Team Awe-Ska their first loss.

Results: Fenomenal Flair defeated Awe-Ska via submission.

A stunned Miz stared in awe as Charlotte and Jeff Hardy celebrated in the middle of the ring. Thanks to Jeff Hardy, Styles and Charlotte move on to 4-0.

Next week, Ravishing Rusev Day will take on the Fabulous Truth. Both teams are 0-3 at the moment but will get a chance to advance in the tournament.
