WWE/MMA News: Dean Ambrose spotted at UFC 219
What’s the story?
Earlier this week, top WWE superstar and former World Champion Dean Ambrose was spotted at the T-Mobile Arena along with his wife Renee Young, as the couple was seen together in attendance at the UFC 219 event.
In case you didn’t know…
Dean Ambrose is a former WWE Champion and a member of the popular faction called The Shield. Ambrose, who is mostly known for his unorthodox in-ring style, is also a former Raw Tag Team Champion along with Seth Rollins. The 32-year-old is also a grand slam champion in the WWE, having won the WWE Intercontinental and US Title as well.
The heart of the matter
During this week’s UFC 219 event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, WWE superstar Dean Ambrose was seen in attendance with his wife and WWE announcer Renee Young, as the couple was seen spending some quality time with each other.
Ambrose, who is currently sidelined from in-ring competition due to a tricep injury, was seen sitting behind Boxing legend Mike Tyson at UFC 219. You can check out the photo below:
Furthermore, Ambrose’s wife, Renee Young also shared a funny story that occurred during the event that was headlined by Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm. Renee took it to her Twitter and revealed the hilarious story, as she claimed that she fell onto Mike Tyson’s chair while taking a picture of Holy Holm while standing on her [Renee’s] chair.
Following Ambrose’s devastating injury on Raw two weeks ago, it was reported by WWE that “The Lunatic Fringe” will be sidelined for a total of nine months and will not be allowed to compete inside the squared circle. Ambrose’s last on-screen feud was against The Bar (Sheamus and Cesar) and Samoa Joe, who played a huge role in Ambrose’s tricep injury.
The former WWE Champion successfully underwent surgery last week, but despite that, it seems likely that Ambrose will now miss out on Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans, later this year.
It is always good to see WWE superstars and employees taking a break from their regular work life and enjoying with their families and the same goes for both Ambrose and Renee.
However, on the other hand, let’s hope that Ambrose fully recovers from his injury and is once again back inside the squared circle, as soon as possible.
