WWE Monday Night Raw preview: October 23, 2017

Will Brock Lesnar accept Jinder Mahal's challenge?
Will Brock Lesnar accept Jinder Mahal's challenge?

A rambunctious ending to TLC brought to a close one of the most action-packed sequences of the year as Kurt Angle returned with a bang, Braun Strowman was packed off in a garbage truck, and the unlikely team of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Kurt Angle prevailed against The Miz's monsters.

But the main event wasn't the only match that had the entire WWE Universe buzzing. The first-time-ever, history beckoning encounter between Finn Balor and AJ Styles didn't disappoint either, with "the Demon" scoring over "the Phenomenal One"... until they fight again.

And if that wasn't enough, Asuka's debut was as advertised, giving the WWE Universe a good look at the former NXT standout's fluid offence as well as a glimpse into her ability to thrive under pressure as well.

With no dearth of talking points to carry forward from TLC, here is our preview of this week's episode of Monday Night Raw.

If you guys have an opinion about the segments that WWE should include on Raw, do sound off in the comments section below, and we can talk about it!

#1 Hell to pay for the Devil's Favourite Demon

Will Braun Strowman return to avenge himself on Kane?
Will Braun Strowman return to avenge himself on Kane?

What is it about Braun Strowman and heavy vehicles?

Not only did his teammates turn their backs on him during the main event of TLC, but they also chucked him into a garbage truck and sent him packing — making it the second time that he's been unceremoniously stuffed inside a vehicle.

And especially culpable in the relationship breakdown between Strowman and the remainder of Team Miz, was "the Big Red Machine," Kane.

Now, "the Devil's favourite Demon" will be fully aware of the ramifications of his actions... and that there will be hell to pay when Strowman shows up on Raw tomorrow.

But with no word about the status of "the Monster Among Men" after TLC, one can't help but wonder if he's alright.

#2 Onward and upward for Finn Balor?

Bray Wyatt being pulled out of the TLC card at the last moment turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Finn Balor and AJ Styles delivered a Match of the Year contender together.

Evenly matched for the most part, it took a thumping Coup de Grace from Balor to put away "the Phenomenal One" after around 20 minutes of breakneck action.

But now that Styles has returned to SmackDown Live and Bray Wyatt is still unavailable, who will step up to challenge the might of the triumphant "Demon" on Raw?

Or like Balor has alluded to on a number of occasions... will reclaiming the Universal Championship that he never lost be his new number one priority?

#3 Will Kurt Angle wrestle again?

Foreshadowing much?
Foreshadowing much?

Kurt Angle's return was everything that the WWE Universe expected...and then some.

A man who's not wrestled inside a WWE ring for over a decade absolutely kicked b*tt at TLC, playing a key role in the aggressive opening salvo from the Shield and returning to help them tie up the match at the end.

But now that it's obvious that the Raw GM can still go in the ring... everyone will be itching to see him wrestle again.

And even if he doesn't plan on lacing up his boots anytime soon, given that he only filled in as a replacement for Roman Reigns, don't be surprised if someone like the Miz gives him plenty of incentive to do so on Raw!

#4 What's next for Asuka

After beating Emma, who's next for Asuka?
After beating Emma, who's next for Asuka?

Asuka may have been an undefeated phenom in NXT... but there were questions as to whether she could continue her dominant ways on the main roster.

And they were answered with aplomb when she was pushed to the limit by Emma but rebounded splendidly to lock in the Asuka Lock and claim the victory.

Now that the self-proclaimed originator of the Women's Revolution is out of the way, who will step up to the plate against "the Empress of Tomorrow" on Raw?

Or... with Mickie James out of the way... will she have her sights set on a much loftier pursuit?

Brock Lesnar responds to Jinder Mahal

Will we see Brock Lesnar standing opposite to Jinder Mahal at Survivor Series?
Will we see Brock Lesnar standing opposite to Jinder Mahal at Survivor Series?

After Jinder Mahal called out Brock Lesnar on SmackDown Live last week, "the Beast" returns to WWE television to address the challenge.

Now, Brock isn't one to shirk from a fight... but one has to think that despite beating the likes of Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura, Jinder Mahal is biting off much more than he could possibly hope to chew in targetting "the Beast Incarnate."

So, will Lesnar accept the challenge and punch "the Modern Day Maharaja" a ticket to Suplex City come Survivor Series?

Or does he have some other worthy opponent in mind?
