The former Cruiserweight Champion, Buddy Murphy, is officially on the main roster now, having made it to the SmackDown brand in the 2019 Superstar Shake-up.

Buddy Murphy had a stellar reign as the Cruiserweight Champion before he lost the title at WrestleMania 35. However, he has not shown up on Tuesday nights till date, barring a vignette that aired during the Superstar Shake-up.

He showed up on last week's episode where he called out Ali, but that was a WWE.com exclusive segment which did not air on live TV.

It looks like Vince McMahon wants him to make a strong first impression at Money in the Bank, where he could interfere in the men's Money in the Bank ladder match and cost a SmackDown superstar the golden chance to win the contract.

Here are 3 reasons why WWE should book Buddy Murphy's big debut during the Money in the Bank match.

#3 The best way to announce Buddy Murphy's arrival

There could be no better way to announce Buddy Murphy to the main roster audience
There could be no better way to announce Buddy Murphy to the main roster audience

The main roster audience has only watched Buddy Murphy twice, first during the WWE Super Show-Down pay-per-view, and next at the Survivor Series pay-per-view of 2018. They would definitely be in awe of this Aussie star, and thus the creative team wants Murphy to look like a star.

Murphy could instantly establish himself as a top heel by taking out a babyface superstar during the Money in the Bank ladder match. WWE could have launched Murphy on SmackDown Live had they not wished to make him have a strong first impression.

An interference at Money in the Bank will not only elevate Murphy as a villain but would also give the WWE Creative team a chance to build Murphy's first feud.

#2 To challenge the Intercontinental Champion, Finn Balor

When Finn Balor switched to SmackDown Live, it seemed like Andrade would be his first opponent, however, WWE has not decided to add any progression to that feud and have instead booked the two men in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

It could have been better had Andrade and Balor collided in a qualifying match, with El Idolo winning it but then failing to win the Money in the Bank match, leading to a rivalry with Finn Balor.

But as things stand, it looks like Andrade may walk out with the Money in the Bank briefcase this year, leaving Balor without an opponent.

Well, if Buddy Murphy interferes and costs Finn the Money in the Bank ladder match, the aforementioned problem could be solved. Murphy and Balor could tear the house down also. The Extreme Rules pay-per-view is approaching, so the fans could be in for a real treat.

#1 Murphy vs Ali 2.0

Such is the caliber possessed by these two cruiserweight superstars that the WWE Creative allotted them 10-15 minutes to showcase their magic on the main card of one of the Big 4 pay-per-views, Survivor Series. Murphy and Ali lived up to expectations and delivered the best match of the night.

WWE teased this feud last week, and thus, everyone is expecting Murphy to cost Ali the Money in the Bank contract. These two talented superstars can wow the audience on SmackDown Live with their amazing in-ring techniques.

Ali will be left directionless if he fails to win the Money in the Bank briefcase, hence it would be great if WWE books Murphy to debut and dismantle Ali during the Money in the Bank ladder match. This feud will even help in boosting the ratings of SmackDown Live.
