There were rumors of WWE making a huge star out of the winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. However, all of those reports have turned out to be false with the victory of Brock Lesnar.

The MITB contract is usually a chance for the company to put a new star in the spotlight. The winners in the last two years were rather underwhelming which is why fans expected a lot from this year’s main event.

WWE, too, had the chance to mold a new star from the Ladder Match but decided to go with Brock Lesnar. The Beast is already an established star and didn’t really need the MITB contract to be in the title picture.

However, the same was not the case with the rest of the Superstars as a win tonight for any one of them would have made a huge impact on their respective careers.

But alas, it wasn’t to be.
