What's the story?
Maria Kanellis has revealed via her Instagram that she was rushed to hospital and subsequently hospitalised on Tuesday evening, which is apparently why the scheduled contract signing segment between Mike Kanellis and Drake Maverick for next week's 205 Live never happened.
In case you didn't know...
A couple of week's ago on 205 Live Mike Kanellis and Drake Maverick's ongoing and long-running antagonism towards each other finally boiled over into physicality when Maverick snapped and attacked Bennett
Maverick hit a picture perfect drop-kick in a massive departure from the comedy character we've seen him portraying in the 24/7 Championship segments, immediately setting up an intriguing feud between him and Kanellis.
The heart of the matter
On this week's 205 Live an in-ring contract segment involving Mike Kanellis and Drake Maverick making their match official was supposed to accompany the Isiah 'Swerve' Scott Vs. Drew Gulak match. However, it never happened with the live audience only getting an impassioned backstage promo from Maverick.
It seems that this promo was either improvised or written very close to bell-time as Maria Kanellis reveals her sudden trip to the hospital forced her to miss WWE.
As you can see Kanellis' dehydration, nausea and headache meant that she was hospitalised with a suspected flu bug. But thankfully her and baby number two are both fine and well and on the mend!
Maria also used the #seeyounextweek which indicates that we'll almost certainly be seeing her in her man's corner when Mike Kanellis does take on Drake Maverick in the unsanctioned match.
Maria's pregnancy has become a big part of 205 Live as well as Monday nights with an ongoing storyline taking place on Raw that shows Maria being disappointed with Mike Kanellis' frequent losses. Whilst the storyline has been fun to follow so far, her and the baby's health must come first so we're glad that all is well on this occasion and 205 Live was able to scramble a re-write at the last minute!Published 26 Jul 2019, 22:30 IST
