"The Devil's Favourite Demon" rose from the depths of hell at RAW and shocked the WWE Universe.

The return of the former World champion was kept a huge secret by WWE and it was only when the new remix of "Slow Chemical" started playing that the fans knew what was in store.

Kane made his return to WWE after a long absence and looks set to do a full-time stint in WWE.

Various explanations have popped up among the online wrestling community regarding the real reason behind the return, but until after TLC is done, everything at this point is conjecture.

We look at five possibilities that could arise for the "new" RAW superstar after his matchup at Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) PPV on Sunday.

#5 Team up with Braun Strowman

Are the Monsters on the same side?
Are the Monsters on the same side?

Braun Strowman has been floundering on the main roster without any real purpose for the last few weeks.

He is going to feature in the main event of TLC against The Shield, but the result of the match notwithstanding, his rivalry with the Shield will most likely end at TLC.

Strowman went up against Reigns for the fourth time this year in singles action, this time in a Steel Cage match.

Kane interfered and destroyed Reigns, after which Strowman finished things up and ended RAW standing tall alongside "The Big Red Machine".

Strowman and Kane could team up to add more depth to the tag team division of RAW while giving Strowman a proper program until there is room in the singles division.

Strowman and Kane could tear apart the tag team division of RAW, and fans will be in for a treat.

#4 Rebuild The Authority

Triple H to return with a new Authority stable?
Triple H to return with a new Authority stable?

Kane had a long run with The Authority back in 2014-15, serving as the henchman for the villainous stable.

He even had two different personas on WWE television at that time; a Corporate Kane and a Demon Kane. His alter-egos were a fun sight to watch on WWE television and were an excellent representation of his talents.

Kane has returned as a heel (bad guy in wrestling) on RAW, and it could lead to the revival of the Authority with HHH and Stephanie returning.

The prospect of the Authority reuniting will not be a decision that appeals to fans but it could be a blessing in disguise for Kane.

A new Authority stable could be an interesting twist and will most likely produce some entertaining segments and matchups on WWE programming.

#3 Battle of the Demons

What happens when Demons collide?

The Demon King vs The Demon Kane could be a treat for the WWE Universe.

Finn Bálor debuted on NXT with his usual persona and brings out an alter ego - The Demon, for special occasions.

He has since then carried this tradition to the main roster, and the Demon character has become synonymous with Balor.

However, Bálor isn't the only Superstar whose dark side is a Demon. Kane had a multi-personality character back during his days with the Authority, and is still known as the "Devil's favourite Demon".

Bálor and Kane are two excellent athletes and can produce a demonic match if given a proper booking.

Bálor could use a new and refreshing feud after a sluggish program with Bray Wyatt, while Kane could put over a young Superstar in a big way with this rivalry.

#2 Championship Pursuits

Another title run for the Demon?
Another title run for the Demon?

Kane is one of the most decorated Superstars in WWE, having won almost every title in the company during his 22-year career.

The 50-year-old has been the world champion thrice and has held numerous championships in his long and storied career.

Kane doesn't have age on his side and is possibly in the last run of his WWE career.

He has a mayoral campaign lined up and will leave again pretty soon if rumours are anything to go by.

Kane may be given a little run in the mid-card as the IC champion or even a feud against "The Beast", Brock Lesnar, for the Universal Championship.

Kane has been a loyal servant of WWE for over two decades, and the league may decide to honour "The Big Red Machine" with one last championship run.

#1 Vengeance

The Big Dog will have to pay for his actions

In the most likely scenario, Kane will go after Roman Reigns for revenge.

Reigns retired "The Deadman", The Undertaker, at Wrestlemania this year and Kane could be looking to extract revenge for his fallen "brother".

Kane and Roman have battled in the past during Kane's run as "Director of Operations" in The Authority.

Kane destroyed Reigns at RAW this past week and a feud between these two looks set for the foreseeable future.

Both Superstars have decent in-ring chemistry, and a rivalry with a proper backstory can help their confrontation to become even more interesting.

The WWE Universe will be in for a treat if Kane and Reigns collide, and expect the Big Red Machine to give his best in possibly the last feud of his glittering career.
