What’s the story?
During the WWE’s house show in Lima, Aiden English claimed to be the ‘New Lana’.
Additionally, English informed the fans in attendance that it is indeed ‘Rusev Day’—
In case you didn’t know…
Rusev was initially managed by his now real-life wife Lana. The latter has now transitioned from a valet/managerial role to that of a manager-cum-singles competitor in the SmackDown Women’s Division.
The WWE recently paired up Aiden English with Rusev; with the former ‘Drama King’ serving as an aide and mouthpiece for ‘The Bulgarian Brute’.
The heart of the matter
Ruse and Aiden English have lately been declaring every day as ‘Rusev Day’; asserting their dominance on the WWE SmackDown brand.
In reference to the same, as the WWE put on a live event on November 30th in Lima, Peru, the crowd in attendance started chanting “Lana” as Rusev was in the midst of competing inside the squared circle. Apparently, Rusev took note, and called upon Aiden English. The latter took to the microphone; stating—
“From the ‘Nuevo’ (*Spanish for ‘new’*) Lana…It’s Rusev Day!”
Following which the packed arena in Lima commenced chanting ‘Rusev Day’; as the match progressed.
What’s next?
Rusev and Aiden English perform for the WWE’s SmackDown brand; and presently compete in the blue brand’s mid-tier matchups.
Meanwhile, Lana also works on SmackDown Live, serving as an ally to her good friend Tamina Snuka.

Rusev is one of the best pure athletes in the sport of professional wrestling today, and has barely scratched the surface of what he can really do in the world of sports-entertainment.
Truth be told—pairing Aiden English with Rusev is a great move on part of the WWE, as the duo make for a rather eccentric, contrasting team on WWE television programming. And bear in mind, every day is Rusev Day.
