What's the story?

We were recently informed that Vince McMahon would be returning to SmackDown Live to moderate a promo segment between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan. AJ Styles did not take too kindly to the news at all.

He sent out a very stern message to his boss ahead of the Royal Rumble go-home episode of SmackDown Live via WWE's Instagram. I would like to thank Wrestling Inc. for the quote.

In case you didn't know...

Vince McMahon and AJ Styles had a very interesting segment not long ago. They met backstage and McMahon urged styles to discover the 'real' AJ Styles and unleash the animal within.

This would lead to AJ Styles punching Vince McMahon in the face. In the weeks that followed, we've seen a fierce AJ Styles, taking the fight to his arch nemesis- Daniel Bryan. It was then announced that Vince McMahon would moderate a promo segment between Styles and Bryan.

The heart of the matter

AJ Styles did not seem too pleased when he heard that his boss was returning to moderate SmackDown Live's promo segment. He had this to say about Vince McMahon's big return:

Moderate? What does Vince McMahon think he's going to do? Does he think he's going to stop me if I want to beat Daniel Byran up right then and there? I can tell you this, if he gets in my face, I'll give him another dose. Moderate!

Something massive is bound to happen during this segment for the boss to get involved. Find out soon when SmackDown Live comes around this week.

What's next?

The AJ Styles vs. Vince McMahon storyline is far from done. One wonders where it is going to lead us. One suspects that the eventual destination is WrestleMania.

Whom will AJ Styles face at WrestleMania? Let us know in the comments below.
