In the latest edition of the WWE Network Pick of the Week, AJ Styles recalled the moment that changed his life.
Expounding upon the same, Styles asserted that his WWE debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble truly changed his life and the WWE as well.
In case you didn’t know…
AJ Styles had briefly competed in WWE, performing in a Metal match back in 2002.
Nevertheless, Styles went on to compete in several notable professional wrestling promotions the world over, including NJPW, Impact Wrestling and ROH, before making his debut at the WWE Royal Rumble on January 24th, 2016.
The heart of the matter
AJ Styles has since captured the WWE United States title and the WWE Championship on a couple of occasions respectively.
The WWE has now posted a video showing Styles revealing the moment that changed his life in the WWE Network Pick of the Week. Below are a few excerpts from his statements regarding the same—
“My WWE Network Pick of the Week? Simple—two years ago, I made my debut at the Royal Rumble. It changed my life. It changed the WWE Universe; it changed WWE; because it was ‘Too Sweet’.”

AJ Styles is the reigning WWE Champion and will defend his title in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn at the Royal Rumble PPV which takes place on Sunday, January 28th.

AJ Styles truly is one of the most phenomenal athletes to have ever competed in the sport of professional wrestling.
It’s great to see Styles ascend to the top of the WWE food chain, having also dominated every single organization he’s ever performed for. Besides, no one can really refute the fact that Styles’ WWE debut changed the whole landscape of the business forever.
