WWE News: AJ Styles reveals whether he has signed a new WWE contract

What's the story?

As we reported earlier, AJ Styles WWE contract will be coming up soon and there have been rumors that All Elite Wrestling has interest in signing Styles. Styles reportedly was on a lighter schedule, something similar to what Randy Orton has, as he wants to be able to spend more time with family. However, it still looks like the former WWE Champion will be signing a new contract with WWE although he hasn't signed one yet, something AJ Styles himself recently confirmed.

In case you didn't know...

AJ Styles faced WWE Champion Daniel Bryan at the WWE Royal Rumble last Sunday. Styles looked set to win the match but unfortunately for him, the referee was down. At this point, Rowan interfered and chokeslammed the former WWE Champion, helping Daniel Bryan retain his title.

We learned on the following episode of WWE SmackDown that Daniel Bryan will be defending his WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber against Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles and Mustafa Ali.

The heart of the matter

AJ Styles came across a report which stated that he had come to terms to sign a new WWE contract and decided to reply on Twitter, denying it and saying that he did not know anything about it;

“What was that? Are you sure? Please let me know the more because I know nothing about this.”

Styles basically confirmed that he has not put his name on the dotted line yet although negotiations are surely underway by now. Styles is still likely to sign a new contract with WWE.

As of now, we don't know anything about WWE's plans for AJ Styles at WrestleMania 35. Up next is the Elimination Chamber where Styles will be looking to win back his WWE Championship.
