WWE News: AJ Styles updates fans about his injury, promises to appear on RAW

AJ Styles in action at a WWE Live Event

WWE superstar AJ Styles has provided an update to his fans regarding a recent injury he picked up, stating that his ankle is bothering him, which is an issue dating back to his days in NJPW and Ring of Honor – reports cagesideseats.com.

Fans were concerned that the wrestler suffered a worrying injury, after WWE chose to hold Styles from participating in this weekends live events in order to allow him to heal from his injury, which continues to make its presence felt.

The injury has limited Styles to an appearance on RAW as well as a backstage scene on SmackDown, which has given rise to the rumour that Styles picked up his injury during his six-man elimination match with Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows against Roman Reigns and the Usos on May 9.

Styles even issued an apology via social networking site Twitter to fans who had bought tickets to see him at live events this weekend, but stated that he’ll be in North Carolina for the Extreme Rules show.

The wrestler is booked for his second consecutive WWE PPV on May 22nd in New Jersey, where he will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.
