WWE News: Alexa Bliss reveals why her hair is pink
The current Raw Women's champion talks about her hair color and also had some inspiring words for all breast cancer patients.
What’s the story?
Current Raw Women's champion Alexa Bliss recently sat down for an interview with Channel Guide Magazine's Scott Fishman.
During the interview, Bliss and Fishman discussed various topics such as Alexa's ongoing feud against Mickie James over the women's title, her new role in the reality TV series, Total Divas.
The two also had an interesting conversation regarding Alexa's pink hair colour, as well as what it is to be a part of Susan G. Komen's breast cancer campaign.
In case you didn’t know…
Alexa Bliss, along with female superstars Nia Jax and Carmella were added to the cast of Total Divas for the seventh season of the show which will premiere on 1st November 2017.
Alexa, Nia, and Carmella were brought into the show in order to replace the departing Paige, Eva Marie and Renee Young.
The heart of the matter
During her interview with Scott Fishman, Alexa revealed that the reason why her hair colour is pink because she believes it represents strength.
Bliss thinks that to some people the colour pink may seem "girly" but for her, it stands for boldness and strength.
The Raw Women’s champion also claims that the pink hair helps her to stand out from the other female superstars and that it also helps her to be self-supporting.
Another major reason why Alexa decided to colour her hair pink is to show support to all the breast cancer patients and survivors in her own way.
She feels that it helps her connect with the ones fighting the battle against breast cancer. She labels all the ladies as bold and independent, who fought and won the battle against breast cancer.
The former Smackdown Live Women’s champion also said that all the ladies who have been able to survive breast cancer are some of the most inspiring and amazing women she has ever met.
Bliss was then asked about her new role on Total Divas and how it feels to join the cast of the reality TV series, to which she responded by saying that it is a great opportunity for her to work on a completely new platform and in front of a completely new audience.
She claims that she that getting a chance to work on Total Divas is really an awesome opportunity for her.
The two time Raw Womens’ champion knows it's the next step for her in her career and is sure that Total Divas might actually help WWE to attract more fans to tune into their product.
"I’m hoping it’s the next step for me and opens opportunities for people who don’t watch WWE to cross over and watch WWE and bring that audience into what we do and into our world."
Alexa is currently in a feud with Mickie James and will defend her Raw Women’s title against James at this year’s TLC Pay-Per-View.
As far her, Total Divas role is concerned, all Total Divas fans will get to see her on their television sets next month when the seventh season premiers on 1st November 2017.
I think it is a great gesture from Alexa Bliss to keep her hair pink, in order to keep her motivated, as well as for the other breast cancer survivors.
