WWE News: Alicia Fox fined for pushing referee Darrick Moore on Monday Night Raw

What's the story?

The WWE has announced that they are fining Alicia Fox an undisclosed amount of money after the superstar shoved refereeing official Darrick Moore, following her disappointing loss to Sasha Banks on the October 16th edition of Monday Night Raw.

In case you didn't know...

Previously on Raw, Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox were two competitors in a five-way match with the winner earning the right to face Asuka at the TLC 2017 pay-per-view.

During the match, Sasha Banks eliminated Alicia Fox by forcing her to tap-out to the Bank Statement.

The heart of the matter

Alicia Fox was out for some payback on Raw but unfortunately, things didn't quite to plan with Banks picking up another win. This caused Alicia to lose it out in the middle of the ring, before eventually attacking Sasha Banks backstage and shoving referee Darrick Moore who tried to break the confrontation.

This has evidently led to Alicia Fox being punished by the WWE, with the company announcing the sanction on Twitter, and then later on the show.

What's next?

It remains to be seen how Alicia Fox will react to the fine, or how Sasha Banks will react to her backstage beating, but I'll be very surprised if this doesn't lead to a TLC match between the two female stars.

Author's take

You can't help but laugh at the WWE choosing to fine Fox for shoving an official when I'm sure I could find several examples of WWE Superstars man-handling an official and not receiving a fine. But they're trying to build a storyline for the female wrestlers that isn't over a title, so I'm on board!
