What's the story?

Ahead of the highly awaited Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, which will also see the crowning of the first ever Women's Tag Team Champions, another top team in the form of The IIconics have now announced their entry into the Chamber Match.

In case you didn't know...

In late 2018, WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon announced the inauguration of the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles and several weeks ago on Raw, former Raw Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss officially unveiled the Women's Tag Team Titles on her 'A Moment of Bliss' segment.

Bliss would later confirm that the inaugural Women's Tag Team Champions will be crowned at the upcoming Elimination Chamber.

The heart of the matter

In a recent backstage segment at a recent WWE House Show, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce- The IIconics- officially announced their entry into the six-woman Elimination Chamber match, which will see the crowning of the first ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

Not only did both members of The IIconics announce their entry into the six-woman Elimination Chamber match but they also sent a message to the rest of women's roster, including the female stars who will be competing inside the gruelling Chamber later this month.

In the promo below, The IIconics claimed that they aren't stopping at anything in order to win the Women's Tag Team Championships and then prove to the entire world that they are the future.

What's next?

With The IIconics announcing their entry into the Elimination Chamber match, they're now officially the fourth team to throw their name into Woman's Tag Title contention, joining the likes of Nia Jax and Tamina, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, and The Riott Squad.

Elimination Chamber is set to take place on the 17th of February at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and so far only three matches have been confirmed for the show.
