WWE News: Another title match confirmed for Royal Rumble PPV

What's the story?

WWE has confirmed another title match for this year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view as 'The Certified G' Enzo Amore gets all set to defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Cedric Alexander.

In case you didn't know...

Cedric Alexander and Enzo Amore have had quite the rivalry over the past few weeks on both Monday Night Raw and 205 Live. The two men faced off against each other last week on Monday Night Raw in a singles match for the Cruiserweight Title, where Amore came out on top after retaining his title via a count out win. However, Enzo also got severely injured during the match as he got busted wide open by Cedric and was treated by the WWE medical team, as the leader of the Zo-Train received 4 stitches above his eye.

The heart of the matter

Following the controversial ending to last week's Cruiserweight Title match between Enzo and Cedric, WWE has decided to book a rematch between the two 205 Live stars as Cedric Alexander now has earned himself a second shot at the Cruiserweight Championship.

Cedric earned himself a shot at the Cruiserweight Title after he defeated Enzo's Zo-Train stablemate Drew Gulak to finally get a crack at the top championship on 205 Live. On the other hand, Enzo Amore has had a pretty disastrous start to 2018, The Certified G's year started with him being in a hospital bed as he was down with a flu, however, Amore has now been cleared to compete in the squared circle once again as he prepares to defend the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Cedric Alexander yet again.

What's next?

The two men will collide against each other later this month, on the 28th of January at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. This is also the fifth title match which has been confirmed for the 2018 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, as it follows up the Universal Title, WWE Title, and the Raw and Smackdown Tag Team Titles.

Enzo Amore has been one of the most entertaining stars on the microphone but his in-ring capabilities have certainly been far from convincing and I think the best decision from here on would be to put the WWE Cruiserweight Title on Cedric Alexander.
