What’s the story?
Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Asuka and her rival from her NXT days, Nia Jax, have reignited the feud form their NXT days by teasing a showdown on Twitter.
In case you didn’t know…
Both Asuka and Nia Jax are most likely two of the most dominant performers in the entire WWE Women’s division today. The two ladies also seemed to have a lot of history with each other, from their NXT days.
On 1st April 2016, Asuka put her NXT Women’s Title on the line against Nia Jax at NXT TakeOver: The End. However, despite a valiant effort from Jax, Asuka managed to successfully retain her Women’s Title as the Japanese superstar defeated Jax following a repeated number of stiff kicks.
The heart of the matter
Earlier today on Twitter, both Asuka and Nia Jax seemed to have a very interesting interaction with each other as the two Raw stars teased a possible match-up between them, in the near future.
The Twitter conversation started when Asuka decided to upload a photo of her on the social media, as she decided to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. However, Nia Jax would go on and quote Asuka’s tweeted photo and write out the words “Ok Asuka!! I see you.”\
The former NXT Women’s Champion did not waste any further time to reply to Jax, as she would then quote Jax’s tweet in return and state another tweet that read “Say what?” as two of the most dominant female stars of the WWE teased towards another possible match, but this time on the main roster.
What’s next?
Both Asuka and Nia Jax’s next target, however, will be the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble which will take place next month.
Asuka and Nia Jax will both be looking to make a mark on the match as the two ladies prepare to make history and will also plan on becoming the first ever women’s Royal Rumble winner, come January 28, 2018.
Author’s take
Personally I think, a feud between Asuka and Nia Jax should wait for a while and in my opinion, the two ladies should have a rivalry with the Raw Women’s Title on the line.
