Austin Aries has taken to social media in order to weigh in on what’s potentially wrong with pro-wrestling today.

Aries asserted that most performers today, seem to be playing wrestling instead of taking the business seriously. Additionally, A-Double also alluded that up-and-coming wrestlers need to be taught to approach this sport with adequate seriousness—

Austin Aries is perhaps best known for his time with TNA (now-Impact Wrestling). Aries briefly performed for the WWE, before recently parting ways with the promotion.

The veteran has been voicing concern over the current state of the professional wrestling industry which, in his opinion, seems to be desperately in need of certain improvements.

The heart of the matter

One ought to note that Austin Aries has been considerably vocal about his criticism as regards the professional wrestling industry over the past few days.

Aries reiterated his grievances with the business; explaining that the industry has too many people “playing wrestler” instead of really being one.

Furthermore, Aries emphasized that the aforementioned faulty approach taken by many in today’s pro-wrestling business is a mentality issue—something that is not being taught nowadays.

Honestly speaking, it’s angering to see a great performer and true old school pro-wrestler such as Austin Aries go through, what can only be described as a tumultuous phase in his personal and professional life.

Aries may very well be one of the most underrated performers in the business today and that, in and of itself, just goes to show how talented this man is; especially when you consider how long Double-A has been going through the gruelling job of taking bumps in the ring on a daily basis.
