WWE News: Austin Aries reacts to disrespectful chants on last night's RAW

Double-A responds to disrespectful chants from fans at last night’s RAW

What’s the story?

Austin Aries responded to the WWE fans’ disrespectful chants that were rained down upon him and his fellow Cruiserweight competitors during their tag-team match last night on RAW.

Double-A took to social media to post a message that appears to be a tad sarcastic, so to speak, thanking the fans present at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for Monday Night RAW.

In case you didn’t know...

Austin Aries (Daniel Solwold Jr.) who is best known for his time in TNA made his NXT debut last year, and is now a member of the main roster, regularly featuring in Cruiserweight matches on RAW and 205 Live.

The heart of the matter

On the most recent episode (5/15/17) of Monday Night RAW, Aries competed in a tag-team match with ‘Gentleman’ Jack Gallagher against WWE Cruiserweight champion Neville and TJP. The match received largely negative reactions as fans present at the arena were seen tossing around a beach ball as the matchup was underway.

Aries took notice of the same, and reverted back to the New Jersey fans with a fitting reply:

Besides, the apparent lack of interest shown by the audience at the event was accompanied by chants of “CM Punk” and “This is boring”.

What’s next?

Austin Aries is presently involved in a feud against Neville and will challenge him for the latter’s WWE Cruiserweight title at the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland on June 4th.

Meanwhile, fans can catch Double-A in action on Monday Night RAW and 205 Live competing in the Cruiserweight division.

Author’s Take

Austin Aries and the rest of the Cruiserweight division deserve our respect! The Cruiserweights may be smaller than the average WWE Superstar but they’re just as talented as the others.

Granted that the fans have every right in the world to express their opinion, this incident was disrespectful. Give the high-flyers a chance folks. Trust me, they’ll grow on you.
