What’s the story?
On a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed a possible reason behind the Nia Jax and Enzo Amore romance angle.
In reference to the same, Meltzer noted that the WWE has booked Jax in the aforementioned comedy/romance angle with Amore, in order to give the now-former NXT Superstars in Paige’s faction a chance to get over.
In case you didn’t know…
Paige recently returned to the WWE and brought up Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville from NXT; forming a faction known as Absolution—who’ve been laying waste to the red brand’s Women’s roster.
Nevertheless, despite the aforementioned Rose & Deville’s main roster debut taking place a few days ago, Absolution is yet to attack Asuka or Nia Jax.
The heart of the matter
This week’s edition of Monday Night RAW saw Nia Jax engage in a friendly conversation with Enzo Amore; even using his ( Initially Joey's) famous catchphrase ‘How You Doin?’ on the latter. Veteran professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer addressed the aforementioned segment; explaining that the WWE plans to pursue the Jax and Amore story and present it as a romance/comedy angle on WWE's TV programming in the weeks to come.
Furthermore, Meltzer elucidated that the reason behind Jax being diverted into an angle with Amore, is to give her something to do. He also implied that management intends to allow Absolution, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville in particular, to get over with the fans—something that may be tough if they get upstaged by the ever-dangerous Jax.
Besides, Meltzer also emphasized that fans may get to see Jax on 205 Live as well in the weeks to come.

Absolution and Nia Jax presently perform for the WWE’s RAW brand.
On the other hand, Enzo Amore competes on both RAW and 205 Live in the Cruiserweight Division. Fans can expect an increase in the on-screen interactions between Jax and Amore in the days to come.

Honestly speaking, it’s great that WWE is giving Rose & Deville the time to showcase their talents on the main roster before running into the force of greatness that is Nia Jax.
