Tonight’s edition of SmackDown Live will be the final main roster show before the WWE Universe heads to the Royal Rumble PPV this Sunday.

Preceded by the special 25th-anniversary edition of Monday Night RAW, both fans and experts predict the WWE’s blue brand to up the ante after RAW’s aforementioned grand show last night.

The heart of the matter

The WWE has confirmed Naomi vs. Liv Morgan and Jey Uso vs. Chad Gable for tonight’s SmackDown Live. On the other hand, a 6-Man Tag Team Match has also been announced that will see The New Day & Bobby Roode compete against Rusev, Aiden English & Jinder Mahal.

Furthermore, as of this time, no matches have been confirmed for tonight’s 205 Live tapings, regardless, tonight’s MMC (Mixed Match Challenge) Match will see Big E & Carmella compete against The Miz & Asuka.

Fans can expect tonight’s edition of SmackDown Live to primarily focus on the “Yep!” Movement, as well as on which Superstars gain final momentum heading into the Royal Rumble.

Tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live (January 23rd, 2018) takes place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.

The episode is being touted by the vast majority of professional wrestling experts as a must-see edition since it marks the final SmackDown before the WWE Universe sets forth on the Royal Rumble and the Road to Wrestlemania.
