The Animal of Hollywood

While Batista did have an “unsuccessful” return to WWE in 2014(despite having main evented Wrestlemania XXX), he has since enjoyed an extremely successful career in Hollywood where his stock and value is rapidly increasing. Perhaps his two most successful acting gigs till date were playing Drax in Guardians Of The Galaxy  and Hinx in Spectre, the James Bond film. He will even have a role in the upcoming film “Avengers: Infinity Wars”, which will arguably be the biggest film in the history of the Marvel franchise.

Recently on twitter, The Animal was asked about what his greatest achievement in sports entertainment was, and he said:

Leaving on one’s own terms is always an integral part of one’s job, and the best part about it is that it always leaves the door open for a return in the future. In Batista’s case, it would not be surprising one bit if he gets a Hall Of Fame induction in the coming years. Perhaps one final bout and then a Hall Of Fame induction would be ideal.

One thing is for sure, The Animal was no backstage Politicker and he would put over whoever he was asked to put over. On the way out, he put over The Shield, who broke into singles runs right as he left. In fact, the very night Batista left was the night that The Shield broke up.

It is highly likely that we will see Batista back in the ring, just not anytime soon. He is enjoying a high level of success in Hollywood and he appears to be yet to reach his peak. Here is Batista giving his take on his upcoming film Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 in San Diego Comic Con

Here Batista talks about his failed second sting with the WWE:
