What’s the story?
Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bayley recently spoke with The Dallas News in order to promote WWE’s upcoming tapings in Dallas. During the interview, Bayley spoke about her current angle with Sasha Banks and where 'The Boss' ranks on her list of favorite opponents. In addition, the former NXT Women’s Champion also gave her take on how Ronda Rousey has adapted in the WWE.

Bayley and Sasha Banks’ history dates way back to their days in NXT, where the two ladies have previously faced off on two different occasions. Bayley first won the NXT Women’s Championship after defeating Banks at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and, the rematch between the two, contested in the main event if NXT TakeOver: Respect, was the first ever 30-minute Iron Man match in WWE history.
The heart of the matter
While speaking with The Dallas News, former NXT and Raw Women’s Champion Bayley spoke about a host of topics and here are a few highlights from the interview:
According to Bayley, things have been a little complicated between her and Sasha Banks as of lately, but she does believe in the fact that both Sasha and herself will eventually sort out things among themselves very soon despite things being a bit awkward among themselves.
"Friends and sisters fight all the time, but it's just - I don't know - something that I know we have to handle ourselves, and I'm sure we will soon because it's just been a little awkward."
Bayley claimed that 'The Boss' is currently on the top of her list of favorite opponents because according to her, Sasha Banks is indeed the best woman to ever step foot in the ring, which somewhat bothers Bayley because she herself wants to be the very best.
"I've always said that I think she is the best woman to ever step foot in the ring. And maybe that's what bothers me sometimes because I want to be the best. But she's definitely my favorite opponent for many reasons."
Bayley stated that she doesn’t really see much of Ronda Rousey in the WWE because, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion currently has her own thing going on, but, Bayley does think that Rousey has definitely been fitting well in the WWE so far and has learned to adapt with the WWE Universe pretty easily.
"I don't really see her much. She's kind of got her own thing going on, and so do we. But I think she's fitting in well. The crowds really seem to like having her around, and I think she's obviously going to fit in well and learn to adapt pretty easy. But she definitely still needs to earn her stripes, I'd say. And I'd be happy to help her."
What’s next?
At one point of time, it seemed like WWE were heading towards a Sasha Banks vs Bayley match at WrestleMania 34, however, those plans have apparently been nixed and Bayley and Banks could possibly compete in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal instead.

Personally, I think WWE should save a Bayley vs Sasha Banks match for the future and I believe that it should be for the Raw Women’s Title instead.
