What’s the story?

On a recent edition of E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, Bayley opened up on a myriad of topics.

Bayley recalled the greatest memory of her career, besides also talking about how bummed out she was on not being called up with the other Horsewomen to the main roster. Also, Bayley also spoke about being a locker room leader in NXT and helping train younger girls.

In case you didn’t know…

Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch comprise the WWE’s Four Horsewomen, who’ve never been prominently featured as a faction on WWE’s TV programming.

Nevertheless, the group is pretty close-knit in real life and are known to bond on their mutual love for wrestling. Bayley was the last of the 4 Horsewomen to be called up from NXT to the main roster.

The heart of the matter

Bayley asserted that her career’s greatest memory is her NXT Takeover: Brooklyn match with Sasha Banks—

“That's definitely a milestone in both of our (pro wrestling) careers. That's one that people do ask us about it a lot and I don't ever get tired of it, and for some reason, it still gets me emotional. Like, I can still remember every single detail about it, and every second leading up to it, and just every emotion that went into it still. That's my greatest memory."

Additionally, Bayley elucidated that since Banks was being called up to RAW, they didn’t have much time to prepare for their Takeover matchup, but put on a great show nonetheless, as the match was highly important for NXT founder Triple H and the brand as a whole.

Furthermore, Bayley explained that at first she was bummed when her aforementioned 4 Horsewomen stable-mates left NXT for the main roster as she thought they'd conquer the main roster as a faction, but eventually took that as an opportunity to prove that she didn’t need them to succeed as a singles competitor, and in fact began cherishing her role as locker room leader in NXT.

Bayley added that she’d love to be a trainer in the future, and teaching younger girls in NXT kind of helped her get a taste of how life as a trainer is. ‘The Huggable One’ continued that she once even produced a match by helming the action with a headset on, and also recalled handing over the reins of NXT to Asuka.

What’s next?

Bayley presently performs for the WWE’s RAW brand and competes in the mid-card of the red brand’s Women’s Division.

Meanwhile, one of her stable-mates Sasha Banks, competes on RAW as well, while Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch perform on SmackDown Live.

Author’s take

Bayley is an excellent in-ring technician, however, her on-screen character needs to be revamped in order for her to regain lost momentum.

It’s awesome to see the leader of the Hug Life give an honest take on how she felt about performing without the guidance of her stable-mates in NXT. Perhaps when it’s all said and done, Bayley could indeed be the most successful Horsewoman standing.
