What's the story?
Sasha Banks and Bayley had a momentous match at WWE NXT TakeOver: Respect back in October 2015. This was during the transition of Banks onto the main roster and she came back to face Bayley in a 30-minute Ironman Match for the NXT Women's Championship.
But Bayley recently revealed on E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness that this was a great match that they had little time to prepare for.
In case you didn't know...
Bayley became The Hugger in NXT and reached huge status with the strong NXT fanbase. Sasha Banks was the NXT Women's Champion and Bayley fought to win it using her fangirl status as a crux of the storyline.
Bayley and The Boss went on to have some great matches concluding in an epic encounter at NXT TakeOver: Respect.
The heart of the matter
Bayley opened up to Edge and Christian about that match and how special it was to her. She remembers the hectic schedule surrounding this match and how she was still at the WWE Performance Center and working NXT shows while Banks was touring on the main roster.
Due to all of the appearance obligations both Bayley and Banks had to fulfil they didn't have much of a chance to speak except for once briefly at the WWE Performance Center and much of the match was decided on the day of the event. Thanks to Still Real To Us for the transcription.
"We might have talked over it once at the PC but the day-of -- we didn't see each other until the day-of cause she also had a SummerSlam match the next night so she was preparing for all that. She had appearances leading up to it, I had appearances leading up to it and we didn't really talk, talk until the night of."
Bayley went on to say the match worked so well because they knew everything was relying on them to perform and Banks and she had worked so much together in the past it was simple to make it work.
What's next?
As Bayley and Sasha Banks continue in their careers they are sure to see themselves in many more amazing moments but they'll never forget where they came from and all they've been able to accomplish along the way.

It really is a good thing Bayley and Banks knew each other so well because thankfully the match turned out beautifully with Bayley winning three falls to two in a great match that blew the roof off of Full Sail Arena.
