Peyton Royce and Billie Kay debuted on SmackDown Live

What's the story?

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay shocked the world when they debuted last night on SmackDown Live, attacking Charlotte Flair and essentially being responsible for Carmella successfully cashing in to become the new SmackDown Women's Champion.

But it hasn't always been easy for the Iconic Duo, as Bayley has revealed.

In case you didn't know...

The Iconics, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, have been one of the most popular duos in NXT history - being both dominant on the microphone and in the ring.

Peyton Royce made her main roster debut in the first-ever WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal on Sunday night where we saw a one-night-only faction of NXT women, all from different countries, make their mark on the WWE Universe.

The heart of the matter

Well, The Iconic Duo are two of the best female heels WWE has to offer, and they definitely made their mark with their call-up to the main roster - taking full advantage and making a massive impression already.

But Bayley revealed it hasn't always been so easy for the Iconics when she revealed an inspiring story about the pair via Twitter after their blue brand debut.

The pair had become a mainstay on NXT over the past year and change, honing their craft in preparation for their main roster debut.

What's next?

The Superstar Shake-up takes place next week, but with the Iconics debuting on the blue brand just last night, you'd have to think that's their home for now.

Author's take

The Iconic Duo are one of the most popular teams in WWE and they have already made their mark with a confident promo and assault on the woman who ended Asuka's streak last night, and I can't wait to see how they move forward from here!
